September 3 – September 5, 2016

Why?:

Flights were on sale, huge AP discount at the hotels and well, why not?

Day 1: September 3, 2016
My Mom and I both got up around 5:15 am and got ready to leave. My Dad was kind enough to get up too and drive us to the airport!
IMG_0912.JPG

IMG_0913.JPG
If anyone remembers my last TR, you will remember the insane lines we encountered at Southwest and TSA in May. Luckily, I did not have the sinking feeling this time and my intuition was right. It was so dead at the Southwest counter that the worker checked us in himself instead of the computer (after my Mom and I spent the whole drive there memorizing the confirmation number to type in haha). My Mom got TSA pre-check and I did not. She was going to wait with me, but I had my laptop with me (more on that later) so we swapped bags and she took mine so we didn’t have to take the computer out. When I was in the regular line I ran into some friends to chat with! I also could see my Mom digging through my bag to find the bug spray I put in there to take it out (no one wants to get Zika!). She couldn’t find it, but you don’t need to take it out for pre-check anyway!

Anyway, my line wasn’t too long but it halted a bit when I got to the point where they check your ticket and ID. The people in front of me had either no ticket or the wrong passport, so there was some confusion. There was also a man behind me freaking out because he forgot he had a swiss army knife in his pocket and did not know what to do with it (they took it peacefully from him to be destroyed). Well, after all these delays I thought I was good. Unfortunately, no. When I get through the scanner thing something pops up in my stomach that looks like metal. Although this is weird, its actually not the first time this has happened to me for whatever reason. The TSA lady was super apologetic, but was like I need to search around your skirt. Only, I was wearing a skort and she didn’t know what to do hahahahaha. :p:D:joyfull: She wanted to move me to a more private area, but I really didn’t care as the whole thing was discreet. The best part was my Mom was sitting like 10 feet from me watching the entire thing trying not to laugh! Anyway they swiped my hands (for residue?) and deemed I was safe so let me through. The whole thing was very bizarre.

We were through security by like 6:30 and had a lot of time to kill so headed to grab some bagels and water.
In case you forgot what a bagel looks like
IMG_0920.JPG

After that we headed to the gate and waited a bit (like an hour, because we were so early haha)
IMG_2269.jpg

We got some good people watching in as we watched this lady (white sweater) move her wheelchair around so much that she started blocking in all those people sitting there :joyfull:
IMG_0924.JPG

We also heard some little boys come by us and said “This isn't our gate! We are going to Florida and this gate says Orlando!” It was so cute. Their Mom was shaking her head, “Orlando IS in Florida haha.”
Finally it was time to board! My Mom always sits by the window and I sit in the middle. It doesn't bother me to sit in the middle because I am so short :) Some guy came and sat next to me and he smelled so bad :hungover:. Luckily I must have gotten used to it because I forgot about it by the end !
Petey and Drake were ready for the trip!
IMG_2272.jpg

My Mom fell asleep in the beginning of the flight, so I entertained myself by putting my Magic Band on
IMG_2273.jpg

Eventually my Mom woke up and she started using my iPad to watch TV. It wasn't working well, so I gave her my macbook to use and she tried to move things around on it like it was a touch screen :hilarious::jawdrop:
All in all the wifi wasn't working that well so we ended up just watching The Little Mermaid and it finished right as I had to put my laptop away :)

Next up: MCO and the Boardwalk!

We were there at the same time!

That clown slide would *almost* make me not what to stay at the Boardwalk.:eek::eek:

I saw a ton of Japanese tourists in their super high wedges. I don't know how they did it.

Haha it was pretty creepy looking, but so much fun!! I've worn wedges in Disney before, but only when I was going to dinner and nowhere else (i.e. got on a boat to the Contemporary, up to the California Grill, and on a boat home haha). I have no idea how people walk like that!

Day 2 continued
After Peter Pan we headed off to New Fantasyland. We had a FP for Dumbo so headed there first.
IMG_1122.JPG

IMG_3142.JPG

Then we headed to Barnstormer since there was no wait!
IMG_1124.JPG

IMG_1127.JPG

We had a FP for POTC after this so headed in that direction.
We finally found another Photopass CM
PhotoPass_Visiting_MK_7792700406.jpeg

IMG_1129.JPG

We checked out more Halloween decorations along the way
IMG_1135.JPG
IMG_1136.jpg

I just love this area around the CP
IMG_1137.JPG

Hello Adventureland! The sky was so nice and blue at this point in time.

Onto Pirates we go!
IMG_1140.JPG

We sat in the first row and aside from getting a small amount of water in my ear we were pretty dry!
The entire time that we were in line for POTC there was a little girl in front of us screaming her head off about not wanting to go on the ride. Her parents forced her to go on, and of course she was in our boat. At least her screams were covered by the music of the ride
We decided to check out the wait for HM so headed in that direction.
Sad BTMR construction....
IMG_1145.JPG

Not a huge fan of this picture....the lighting is so off!
PhotoPass_Visiting_MK_7792675940.jpeg

We found some more pumpkins along the way and popped into the Christmas shop to see if they had Christmas Minnie Ears for my sisters (and I was checking for @prfctlyximprct too) but they did not.
IMG_1146.JPG

IMG_1149.JPG

After a nice spin in our doom buggies we headed towards Tomorrowland
It was really hot, and the air was very thick...
IMG_1151.JPG

We made our way through the smog (;), it was probably from the fireworks a few minutes prior from the stage show) and headed to our favorite attraction:
IMG_1152.JPG

Who doesn't love the Peoplemover...
IMG_1153.JPG

IMG_1154.JPG

It was finally time for our last FP! SPACE MOUNTAIN!! I love being a party of two sometimes because we got moved up to the front of the line again very quickly!

If you found those ears I would have expected a shipment :p:p:p Love seeing all the Halloween decorations! Those mickey pumpkins always make me smile! Also, my friend and I could not for the life of us get a good photo coming down the slide. You and your mama did well!!

I love the Halloween decorations! So cute! I wish I took more pictures of all the cool pumpkins on Main Street. I think I lost my mind because it was so hot haha. I would have for sure let you know if there were ears! Slide pictures are so hard...haha. I end up laughing too much to time the picture the right way!

Day 2 continued:
We had a lunch reservation coming up so took some time looking through the Emporium. I promised myself I would not buy anything, but I found a few Halloween things I really wanted so grabbed those :p:D. We also went by the Crystal Shop to get my sister a necklace and ask if they could fix mine since it lost a crystal. They weren't sure who would fix it so they suggested I write to the merchandise people (which I did and they are going to fix it)! Anyway soon enough it was time for lunch so we headed to Tony's Town Square.
We had the Main Street Electrical Parade dining package so we had a three course meal.
We got bread to start off with
IMG_1162.JPG

For my appetizer I chose the Zucchini Fries
IMG_1163.JPG

And my Mom chose the Insalata Fresca
IMG_1164.JPG

Both of these were really great! We split them and tried each others.
For entrees my Mom got the Spaghetti and Meatballs
IMG_1167.JPG

IMG_1168.JPG

And I got the Strip Steak. I was surprised they let me order this because its price is almost the same as the package, but they did!
IMG_1166.JPG

Yum! We really enjoyed our entrees! I really did not like Tony's last time we ate there, but I really enjoyed my meal this time and would definitely go back!
For dessert we both got the chocolate cake
IMG_1170.JPG

This was great too, but we were so full we could barely eat it!
When we finished our meal we were given our fancy paper FP type thing
IMG_1175.JPG

We decided it was time for a break after eating so we left and headed back to the hotel
IMG_1173.JPG

We found a Photopass CM on the way out

Day 2 continued:
Back at the hotel we found Petey and Drake on the couch :)
IMG_1174.JPG

It was still nice out at this point so we got dressed and headed to the pool
Finally got a good slide picture of my Mom!
DSCF2041.JPG

DSCF2042.JPG

DSCF2043.JPG

Look how ominous the sky is (with a water spot on the lens haha). Its so cool that you can see Tower of Terror from the slide!
DSCF2044.JPG

My Mom got me!!
DSCF2048.JPG

We then used the timer to take a picture of ourselves haha
It worked out pretty well actually
DSCF2052.JPG

My Mom really wanted to try out Leaping Horse Libations (the pool bar) so we went over there. The bar was very crowded, but with children. Like people had their kids in every seat. It was kind of annoying since its a bar, but we just grabbed our drinks and went back to our seats by the pool. I think they serve food at the bar, though, so I guess it makes sense that they have their kiddos there.
My Mom got a Pina Colava and I got a Mai Tai of course
IMG_2293.jpg

They were fine, but we aren't huge drinkers to begin with and it was so hot that we didn't drink that much!
We sent this picture to my sister because she gave me some money to buy her a necklace and told us to use the leftover money for a drink. However, there was only like two dollars left so we sent this jokingly thanking her for the drink (of water) :p:hilarious:
IMG_2294.jpg

I love this picture because I was trying to capture the creepy clown in the background, and I did!

Day 2 continued
After the pool we got dressed for the evening and decided to head to MK by way of Epcot. This seems ridiculous to walk through Epcot, but there was a shirt my Mom wanted to check out at one of the gift shops we so figured why not? Anyway as we were getting dressed I discovered a bug bite. I used so much bug spray and they have it all over the parks, but still got a bite ! Oh well, Zika isn't in Orlando anyway
I have a picture of something like this when I was a kid so had to repeat it :)
IMG_1180.JPG

The Boardwalk is so beautiful
IMG_1181.JPG

IMG_1182.JPG

We sent this picture to Jill, again thanking her for the drink :inlove:
IMG_3148.jpg

We stopped in the gift shop in Epcot and got a few things for our family. We then strolled through the rest of Epcot to get to the monorail.

Day 2 continued
I forgot to post this one Photopass picture with Olaf! I love this one!
PhotoPass_Visiting_MK_7792693556.jpeg

Anyway, we headed to the monorail and hopped in line. We were next to a family with a little girl who was upset because her crown wasn't staying in her hair. The CM working at the monorail made it her mission to cheer her up. She was very sweet and the girl eventually did cheer up, but along the way we heard the CM chat about her love of Star Wars and how she had made droids and such. Like in insane detail :) It was funny to listen to!
Finally the monorail came and just in time for it to start raining!
When we got to the TTC we decided to take the ferry to the MK. It was probably a mistake because it was raining so hard, but we made it.
IMG_1192.JPG
IMG_1193.JPG

The rain had calmed down a little bit by the time we got to Main Street so we were able to get a picture. We were clearly very wet haha
PhotoPass_Visiting_MK_7793361199.jpeg

PhotoPass_Visiting_MK_7793361958.jpeg

We decided to head to the Carousel of Progress to get out of the light rain. I actually stupidly made a remark about wishing it would rain more to clear out the park a little....silly me, I pretty much cursed us haha.
IMG_1196.JPG

IMG_1197.JPG

IMG_1198.JPG

I always assumed people dislike the C of P, but after this trip I heard many compliments about the show :)
We then headed to the Peoplemover. It seemed like it broke down a few times, because it was a very long wait
So rainy!
IMG_3149.jpg

We had a FP for Buzz after this so headed through the rain to get inside!
My Mom won!

Day 2 continued
The pictures weren't working so instead we got this ghost picture of us :)
PhotoPass_Visiting_MK_7793851978.jpeg

The rain stopped a little bit at this point, so we hopped in line to meet Buzz
The CM told us that they might have to close the line if it started to rain. She explained that because Buzz is an electronic toy he can't get wet like how you can't bring those kind of toys in the bathtub. So basically she was saying we would get electrocuted .
Luckily, we got to meet him!
PhotoPass_Visiting_MK_7793505257.jpeg

Just as it started raining again we grabbed a FP for Winnie the Pooh! We were behind a family that had clearly had too much Disney because all their kids were hysterically crying and they were comparing about waiting in the FP line (it was literally like a 5 minute wait).
Oh well, we enjoyed our ride!
DSCF2069.JPG

It was still pouring when we got out so we headed to Philharmagic. It was PACKED in there! I've never seen it so crowded. The rain will do that to inside attractions :joyfull:
It was STILL pouring when we got out and I was trying to buy as much time as I could out of the rain so we headed to Hall of Presidents. I actually hadn't seen it in a long time, so I didn't mind it.
IMG_1202.JPG

Something very interesting happened in this particular show and everyone started clapping for their favorite President :joyfull:. It was so funny! Reagan was the most popular in case anyone was wondering.
Well, when we got out it was pouring worse than ever. So, we headed to Main Street and saw that they were setting up for the parade. I asked a CM if there was going to be a parade and they said for now yes and they will make an announcement if it gets canceled. Instead of standing in the area for the dining package we waited undercover to see what would happen. They started taking down all the ropes and stuff after about 10 more minutes and while there was no announcement it was clear it was not going to happen . A CM confirmed this so we headed out. We did check out guest services just to see if there was anything we could do since we had the package, but the line was long and we enjoy our meal anyway so it was all good.
One nighttime Halloween picture
DSCF2070.JPG

We walked/ran to our bus and I tried not to be sad, but I was truly very sad I didn't get to see my parade one more time. Anyway, when we got on the bus (that was waiting for us) my Mom made a comment about how we have been lucky with buses. She cursed us like I cursed us with the rain :p.
As many of you may have read in my PTR we had an absolute bus disaster.
So, as we were driving along the road before leaving the MK our bus broke down. The bus driver said she was having trouble accelerating and made an announcement that we were going to have to pull over. No problem, except she pulled over to the left side of the road instead of the right, and right in the middle of a turning lane .
Once she turned off the bus it started beeping like crazy and pretty much completely broke down. Everyone on the bus (there were like 8 people) was starting to freak out. One lady was concerned the cars were passing too close to us and asked the driver to put flashers on. The other people asked her to turn off the music because it was too loud (it wasn't). The poor driver was so little I was so worried for her safety. She called for help then put on her vest to put out the reflective cones. In the mean time someone stopped to ask her directions :joyfull:.
IMG_2296.jpg

Then, some guy (which we still have no clue where he came from) came on the bus and asked if everyone was OK. Since everyone else was semi-freaking out my Mom and I answered yes for everyone because no one was physically hurt.
Then we sat there with the door open for awhile waiting for a new bus....traffic kept whizzing by.
IMG_3152.jpg

People on the bus probably hated my Mom and I because I was like vlogging about this and taking pictures and we found it to be funny after awhile. What can I say, we sometimes laugh really hard at things other people may not find funny. Eventually another bus came to get us and we had to go out in traffic to get into the bus, but there were plenty of people to make sure we safely made it.
By the time we got back to the Boardwalk it was after 10 pm and we were on the bus for over an hour. We were starving and a lot of the stuff was already closed so we headed to ESPN Club and were seated in a few minutes. BTW it had stopped raining at this point, but I read that the 11 pm parade was canceled as well . No MSEP for us :(
ESPN Club!
IMG_3153.jpg

We decided to split some food so we ordered fries (in case you forgot what they look like)
IMG_1208.JPG

And the Dingers (aka chicken nuggets)
IMG_1209.JPG

Actually the food was really great! We enjoyed it, despite our disappointment of not seeing the parade :) We also enjoyed watching some college football and seeing drunk people at the bar embarrass themselves haha
After eating we shuffled back to our room, watched some HGTV (of course) and headed back to bed.

Day 3
Since it was a short trip, unfortunately this was our last day! I did not sleep well the night before because I kept having weird dreams about the MSEP...haha I wish I was joking! Anyway we woke up at 6:40 ish, packed a little and headed out to get the bus to the MK.
I finally got a picture of the new words on the buses :)
IMG_1211.JPG

The buses are always fast when you aren't in a hurry. We hopped off the bus and onto the monorail.
IMG_1215.JPG

I spy the MK!
IMG_1217.JPG

We were the only ones on the monorail for awhile
IMG_1221.JPG

IMG_1226.JPG

Our final destination was the Grand Floridian
IMG_1229.JPG

IMG_1230.JPG

IMG_1231.jpg

IMG_1234.JPG

We went to the usual 1900 Park Fare spot, but the entrance was closed. We stumbled around for a few minutes until we found someone else going there and tagged along. I'm not sure if its temporary or not, but this new entrance was nice because it didn't force you to take the silly wall picture before you go in. ;)
It was also kind of nice because they didn't call names or anything, they just took in anyone who was standing at the curtain :)
IMG_1236.JPG

Again, my internet is being awful so sorry for the short update !

Next up: breakfast!

Day 3 continued
1900 Park Fare was actually kind of dead this day, but the section we were in was very crowded. I'm assuming for the characters sake they put people in the same sections. None of the characters were around so we hopped up for food.
My plate, pretty much all from the kids tables :)
IMG_1238.JPG

My Mom's plate. 1900 Park Fare is our favorite breakfast by far, and one of the reasons for my Mom is that they have berries and whipped cream :)
IMG_1239.JPG

I decided that I was finally going to try the Strawberry Soup!
In case you are wondering whats in there...its gummy bears ;) (When in Rome....)
IMG_1242.JPG

I'm not a huge yogurt or yogurt based food fan, but I really liked the strawberry soup! My mom, on the other hand, wouldn't try it :joyfull:
She said it looked gross that I was eating something out of a bowl that was a liquid but wasn't (real) soup haha
Anyway, our section was great and right before all the characters came to us they met this little boy across from us who was SO excited to meet them all! It was so cute to watch! I can't wait for the day when my nephew is old enough to have these reactions!
Alice was up first. She said that we were dressed alike, which we were (but not on purpose!).
IMG_1240.JPG

Then came the Mad Hatter. He was funny as always, but for some reason I always get nervous around him. Actually my friend's uncle is a "friend" of the Mad Hatter sometimes at 1900 Park Fare...if you catch my drift ;)
IMG_1246.JPG

IMG_1245.jpg

Next up was Mary Poppins. She is always so pretty! I really did not understand much of what she was saying and she really moved fast through all the families, but she did stop for a moment when she saw my Mom's name was also Mary to chat about that!
IMG_1247.JPG

IMG_1248.JPG

We were worried that Pooh and Tigger were not coming around because we had not seen them yet and we were already done eating, but finally they appeared!
IMG_1249.JPG

IMG_1251.jpg

Tigger is just so cute

Next up: Winnie the Pooh and heading to HS (by way of the Boardwalk)

1900 Park Fare looks like so much fun! Did you notice many boys there? I always have a hard time convincing my family to go here because we only have little boys in my family.

I'm the worst...so sorry for the late update!! Its been crazy at work

Day 3:
Winnie the Pooh is my Mom's favorite character so we were excited when he finally came around!

Selfies with Pooh!

After we met Pooh we headed out
View from the monorail
IMG_1254.JPG

We headed to the Boardwalk bus stop so we could go back and check our luggage in.
When we got to the bus stop a nice CM from Nashville came over and talked to us and let us know he called a bus for us. Still, the bus took forever to come :p. Anyway, when we got on the bus someone asked if we could stop at the Swan and the bus driver said no problem. Only that turned into the Swan, the Yacht Club, AND the Beach Club. *Sigh* We had a FP to get to at Hollywood Studios so at this point we were worried we would miss it.
We quickly packed our suitcases (among a weird toilet leaking disaster) and headed to the airline desk to check them in. The guy told us our suitcases were light  No one has ever said that to us before!!! :joyfull: We always overpack haha (little did he know we were only there for a weekend)
Finally we were ready and headed to the pathway to walk to HS
It was very hot...we were longing for this boat when it passed us :)

We made it to our Fast Pass in time for Tower of Terror!

We were behind a little kid in line who was crying. A woman next to me said to him "You should cry, this ride is so scary." :jawdrop: I almost died, but the woman must have realized I heard her because she said "I can say that, its my kid." :p The kiddo calmed down anyway and had great ride!
I apparently don't have the ride picture, if I remember correctly it wasn't working when we got off the ride!
After this it was time for Aerosmith
