dinner Poly spirit aloha award
You'll enjoy this show. Did you do the earlier or later booking? The later show is neat (depending on when Wishes is playing, probably 10p during that time of year) as you can hike over to the entrance and there's an area off to the side where you can watch the fireworks...worth checking out, especially for a first night experience!
Sunday
Breakfast Cape May
Dinner Tony's town Sq
Wishes Dessert/fireworks
Are you staying at Beach Club? Cape May is decent, but Chef Mickeys (at Contemporary) is better I think. Both are 1 credit on the dining plan.
Tony's is disappointing, I'd skip it. Have you thought about looking into Be Our Guest? Columbia Harbor House is also very good (and underrated). For the kids, you didn't give a gender, but if any of them are little girls, Cindy's Royal Table is certainly worth checking out as well.
The Dessert Wishes show is neat, certainly worth trying out, but it's not the best view of either the projection show or the fireworks (which I think is still Main Street Center near the Walt statue). For the price and offerings, I'd skip this, but if you are trying to avoid crowds and want to actually be able to sit in a chair, it's worth it.
Monday
Breakfast; Tusker house
Dinner :mama Melrose
Breakfast at Tusker is fantastic, especially for breakfast. It's become a must do for me each trip. You won't be disappointed. Be aware the restaurant is rather tucked away, so just after you pass over the bridge into "Africa", look off to the left. You'll see the seating podium there.
Mama Melrose gets mixed reviews, but I've only eaten there once (back in 2010). It was decent. Brown Derby is probably the best food at Hollywood Studios, but considering your family, I'd look into doing either Sci Fi Dine In (I think this is a better lunch stop, but it's atmosphere is amazing) or (and I highly recommend this) doing the 50's Prime Time Cafe. Lots of fun, great decor, and the food is excellent! Plus, your kids would thoroughly enjoy either venue, I suspect!
Tuesday
breakfast;Aketusher house
Dinner Cape may
Akershus has a decent breakfast. The princesses will make it worth your while, but it's still not Cindy's Royal Table.
Since this looks like an EPCOT day for you, with all the options in EPCOT, why did you choose dinner at Cape May?
Wed
Breakfast ;Royal table
Dinner; Va Napoli
Ok, there's Cindy's! You'll love this!
Via Napoli is decent, but you guys seem to have a lot of Italian planned (Tony's, Mama Melrose, now Via Napoli?)
Marrakesh (Morroco) is always fun, and they do a live show, and so does Biergarten (Germany).
There are also restaurants that have seating for Illuminations, such as Rose and Crown (UK) and Tokyo Dine...
Via Napoli is ok, but wouldn't be my first choice with everything else that is there.
Thursday
Breakfast; crystal palace
Dinner : Be our guest
The breakfast at Crystal Palace is delicious and fun. Great choice for a MK day!
And there is Be Our Guest! So, on day 1 I'd look more to Colombia Harbor House then...since you'll be doing dinner here. Great choice! I am bummed I missed out on it on my last trip!
Friday
Breakfast;Chef Mickeys
Dinner; T-Rex
And, here is Chef Mickeys! You'll love it!
T-Rex is ok. The kids will probably enjoy it more than you will. The food is applebees level (in my view), but it's worth doing. If you like French Onion Soup, they have a fantastic one here.
For DTD another idea is doing Splitsville. The menu is quite nice, it's reasonably priced, and a family night of bowling could be a lot of fun.
You didn't specify breakfast lunch or dinner...
I'd look into Yak and Yeti if it's lunch or dinner. Never done a breakfast there...
Overall, great choices! Sounds like a wonderful trip you have planned![/quote]
