We decided to do the Cliff Walk and see the
Newport mansions.
It's a bit of a walk. In total, we walked 10.64 miles that day. The weather was beautiful. There is a free trolley system, so you can catch it around port to get to the Cliff Walk.
When you get to the entrance of the Cliff Walks, you turn the corner and this is what you see:

This is absolutely worth seeing and walking. There are some easy/med/hard paths and there was a guide to let you know which parts.

We stopped a lot just to look at the ocean. We also saw surfers at one point.
While on the Cliff Walk, you can see the mansions. They cost dollars, so you can't just walk in and tour. It's very easy to buy tickets online and bypass the tour groups waiting to get in.

The homes are nice, but it was a one and done for us.
I don't remember where we ate lunch, but we must have not been impressed if we don't have pictures.
We tendered back to the ship. The Emerald Princess, for its age, looked pretty good. I was expecting a beat up, run down ship, but the ship was no better, no worse in most cases than some of the older Celebrity ships we've sailed.
