Comic Books

Infinite Crisis picks up almost right after Crisis on Infinite Earths for Superboy Prime, Alexander Luthor, and old fart Superman and Lois. Things are no longer paradise. Joker gets the best in the end. But it is necessary reading, at least a summery before attacking Sinestro Corps. Lanterns and Guardians are deep in things.

I'm going to pick up some trades when I go to Florida next week.

Where are you going to buy them?

One thing I used to do on each trip was come home with a carry on full of trades. I would buy some that I would find in the Virgin Mega Store, then some at the Marvel Island in IOA, and then some more from a comic shop that my friend would take me to while down in Disney World.

Good times. Comics make me happy. Speaking of which, tomorrow is new comic day. I think it is a light day for me, so I might pick up a back issue of Starman. Next week should be the new Fables and Jack of Fables, so those I will definitely get.

I used to do that. One year I cam back with a bag full of Batman and Daredevil TPB's.

I'll probably pick them up at the florida mall. Thats where I usually get them. Can't remember the store name, though.

Coliseum of Comics has multiple stores in the area and is an excellent place if you can get to it.

Have you read Frank Miller's Born Again and Kevin Smith's Guardian Devil runs on Daredevil?

If anybody still watches Smallville, Thursday's premire was about as good as it gets. Moving on with the writing staff was BY FAR overdue. They even took a few fun jabs at the old writing style. I'm excited about this show for the first time in years.

Skip 4,5,6, and 7. Eight is a great place to start after 3.

I read Ross' Marvels today. What an angsty dude! I didn't care for the POV at all. Kingdom Come was much better. I know it was much earlier, but it really missed the make me give a flip factor.

The new Marvel Zombies mini-series is out and it is good so far. Goblin is back in Spider-Man. Jeff Loeb's Hulk is still the best series right now.

I'm checking out the new Joker TPB to follow up TDK. It looks pretty hardcore.

I just read TDKR again. Much better the second time around. Love Ollie.

Clone Wars on CN has started to warm me back up to Star Wars. I'm reading Legacy now (125 post ANH) and am starting the Tales of the Jedi again. This was one of the best Star Wars series ever. I'm also following it up with KOTOR.

I'm waiting for the Homelands War Fables TPB to come in still. It's been a long wait. It has 8-9 issues in it I think. Jack's Americana comes out in January also.

How long til the Secret Invasion TPB start coming out? Marvel has been pretty dry for new stories the past few months. I grabbed the new Ultimate Marvel TPBs in October, but not much else since summer.

I really hate the Spidey re-rack. AUNT MAY WAS OLD. SOMETIMES OLD PEOPLE DIE. GET OVER IT. That was some really screwed up stuff. And not fun, just mean to be mean.

Cade Skywalker, he's from the Legacy comic, right? Only read a few of those. Good stuff?

I'm picking up the Dark Tower comics from Marvel based off the Stephen King books. Reading the books now, will read the comics once I finish reading the books.
