She comes in colors ev’rywhere;
She combs her hair
She’s like a rainbow
Coming, colors in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colors

She comes in colors ev’rywhere;
She combs her hair
She’s like a rainbow
Coming, colors in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colors

Have you seen her dressed in blue?
See the sky in front of you
And her face is like a sail
Speck of white so fair and pale
Have you seen a lady fairer?

She comes in colors ev’rywhere;
She combs her hair
She’s like a rainbow
Coming, colors in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colors

Have you seen her all in gold?
Like a queen in days of old
She shoots her colors all around
Like a sunset going down
Have you seen a lady fairer?

She comes in colors ev’rywhere;
She combs her hair
She’s like a rainbow
Coming, colors in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colors

She’s like a rainbow
Coming, colors in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colors

My dad's favorite song

-----------------

He’s a real nowhere man,
Sitting in his nowhere land,
Making all his nowhere plans
For nobody.

Doesn’t kave a point of view,
Knows not where he’s going to,
Isn’t he a bit like you and me?
Nowhere man, please listen,
You don’t know what you’re missing,
Nowhere man, the world is at your command.

He’s as blind as he can be,
Just sees what he wants to see,
Nowhere man can you see me at all?
Doesn’t kave a point of view,
Knows not where he’s going to,
Isn’t he a bit like you and me?
Nowhere man, don’t worry,
Take your time, don’t hurry,
Leave it all till somebody else
Lend you a hand.

He’s a real nowhere man,
Sitting in his nowhere land,
Making all his nowhere plans
For nobody.

Ruben James

Have you heard of the ship called "The Good Ruben James?"
Armed by hard-fighting men both of honor and of fame
She flew the Stars and Stripes of the land of the free
But tonight she's in her grave at the bottom of the sea

Oh, tell me what were their names?, tell me what were their names?
Did you have a friend on The Good Ruben James?
Oh, tell me what were their names?, tell me what were their names?
Did you have a friend on The Good Ruben James?

One hundred men went down to their dark and watery grave
When that good ship went down, only forty-four were saved
Was the last day of October, they saved forty-four
From the dark, icy waters of that cold Iceland shore

It was there in the dark of that cold and watery night
They watched for the U-boat and they waited for a fight
Then a whine and a rock and a great explosion's roar
They laid the Ruben James on the cold ocean floor

Many years have passed since those brave men are gone
Those cold icy waters, they're still and they're calm
Many years have passed and still I wonder why
The worst of men must fight and the best of men must die

*TRANSCRIBER'S NOTE: This is a true story. The Ruben James (sometimes
spelled "Reuben") was the first American ship lost in World War 2.

Your eyes tell the stories of a day you wish you could
Recall the moments that once have
Retrack the footsteps that brought us to this favor
I wouldn't ask this of you

Good eye, sniper
Here I'll shoot, you run
The words you scribbled on the walls
With the loss of friends you didn't have
I'll call you when the time is right
Are you in or are you out?
For them all to know the end of us all

Run quick, they're behind us
Didn't think we'd ever make it
This close to safety in one piece
Now you wanna kill me in the act of what could maybe
Save us from sleep and what we are

Good eye, sniper
Now I shoot, you run
The words you scribbled on the walls
With the loss of friends you didn't have
I'll call you when the time is right
Are you in or are you out?
For them all to know the end of us all

Bye bye beautiful
Don't bother to write
Disturbed by your words and they're calling all cars
Face step, let down.
Face step, step down.

The words you scribbled on the walls
With the loss of friends you didn't have
I'll call you when the time is right
Are you in or are you out?
For them all to know

Bye bye beautiful
Don't bother to write
Disturbed by your words and they're calling all cars
Face step, let down.
Face step, step down.

You'll never be a better kind
If you don't leave the world behind
Waste my days, down the ways

It's just the thought of you in love with someone else
It breaks my heart to see you hangin' from a shelf

You'll never do the things you want
If you don't move and get a job.
Waste my days, down the ways

It's just the thought of you in love with someone else
It breaks my heart to see you hangin' from a shelf

Oh girl when I'm in love with you
Keep fishin' if you feel it's true
There's nothing more that we can do
To save you from yourself

Waste my days, down the ways
It's just the thought of you in love with someone else
It breaks my heart to see you hangin' from a shelf

Oh girl when I'm in love with you
Keep fishin' if you feel it's true
There's nothing more that we can do
To save you from yourself

You'll never be a better kind
You'll never be a better kind
A better kind...
A better kind...
A better kind...
A better kind...
Waste my days

Buh-bum.. buh-bum...
Santa baby, just slip a sable under the tree, for me
Been an awful good girl
Santa baby so hurry down the chimney tonight

Santa baby, a '54 convertible too, light blue,
I'll wait up for you dear
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight

Think of all the fun I've missed,
Think of all the fellows that I haven't kissed
Next year I could be just as good
If you check off my christmas list

Santa baby, I want a yacht and really thats not a lot
Been an angel all year
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight

Santa honey, one little thing I really need, the deed
To a platinum mine,
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight

Santa cutie, and fill my stocking with a duplex and cheques,
Sign your x on the line
Santa cutie, and hurry down the chimney tonight

Come and trim my chirstmas tree,
With some decorations bought at Tiffany's
I really do believe in you,
Let's see if you believe in me

Santa baby, forgot to mention one little thing, a ring,
I don't mean on the phone,
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight

Hurry down the chimney tonight
Hurry, tonight.

Wishful thinking?

Our local WalMart has had Christmas stuff out for weeks, I find myself humming carols all the time when I'm there. *sigh* Its way too early for this.

I broke my bat on Johnny’s head;
Somebody snitched on me.
I hid a frog in sister’s bed;
Somebody snitched on me.
I Spilled some ink on Mommy’s rug;
I made Tommy eat a bug;
Bought some gum with a penny slug;
Somebody snitched on me. Oh,

(Chorus)
I’m gettin?nuttin?for Christmas;
Mommy and Daddy are mad.
I’m gettin?nuttin?for Christmas,
‘Cause I ain’t been nuttin?but bad.

I put a tack in my teacher’s chair;
Somebody snitched on me.
I tied a knot in Susie’s hair;
Somebody snitched on me.
I did a dance on Mommy’s plants,
Climbed a tree and tore my pants,
Filled the sugar bowl with ants;
Somebody snitched on me.
(Chorus)

I won’t be seeing Santa Claus;
Somebody snitched on me.
He won’t come visit me because
Somebody snitched on me.
Next year I’ll be going straight;
Next year I’ll be good, just wait;
I’d start now but it’s too late;
Somebody snitched on me.
(Chorus)

So better be good whatever you do,
‘Cause if you’re bad, I’m warning you,
You’ll get nuttin?for Christmas.

A fun christmas song to sing with the family :p

----------------------

Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas Eve.
You can say there's no such thing as Santa,
But as for me an' Grandpa, we believe.

She'd been drinking too much eggnog,
And we begged her not to go.
But she forgot her medication,
And she staggered out the door
into the snow.

When we found her Christmas morning,
At the scene of the attack
She had hoof prints on her forehead,
And incriminating Claus marks
on her back.

Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas Eve.
You can say there's no such thing as Santa,
But as for me an' Grandpa, we believe.

Now we're all so proud of Grandpa,
He's been taking this so well.
See him in there watching football,
Drinking beer and playing cards
with cousin Mel.

It's not Christmas without Grandma,
All the family's dressed in black.
And we just can't help but wonder
Should we open up her gifts
or send them back?
SEND THEM BACK!!!

Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas Eve.
You can say there's no such thing as Santa,
But as for me an' Grandpa, we believe.

Now the goose is on the table
And the pudding made of fig (ahhhhh!)
And the blue and silver candles,
That would just have matched the hair
in Grandma's wig.

I've warned all my friends and neighbours,
Better watch out for yourselves.
They should never give a license,
To a man who drives a sleigh
and plays with elves.

Sing it, Grandpa!

Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas Eve.
You can say there's no such thing as Santa,
But as for me an' Grandpa, we believe.

I would swallow my pride,
I would choke on the rhines,
but the lack thereof would leave me empty inside.
I would swallow my doubt, turn it inside out,
find nothing but faith in nothing.
Wanna put my tender heart in a blender,
watch it spin round to a beautiful oblivion.
Rendezvous, and I'm through with you.

I burn, burn like a wicker cabinet.
Chalk white and oh - so - frail.
I see our time has gotten stale.
The tick - tock of the clock is painful, all sane and logical.
I wanna tear it off the wall.
I hear words and clips and phrases,
I think sick like ginger ale.
My stomach turns and I exhale...

So Cal is where my mind states,
but it's not my state of mind.
I'm not as ugly sad as you.
Or am I origami, folded up and just pretend.
Demented as the motives in your head...

I alone am the one you don't know you need,
take heed, feed your ego.
Make me blind when your eyes close,
sink when you get close, tie me to the bedpost.
I alone am the one you don't know you need,
you don't know you need me.
Make me blind when your eyes close, tie me to the bedpost...

Radio Man
written by Joe Grant and Al Parrish

Radioman, won't you come and fix my radio

My dad was a farmer, used to sing off-key
First thing I done when he give the farm to me
Bought a Dreadnought series, three-band dial
Queen Mary model in the latest style
Bought home that majestic radio set
Put it in the stable, tryin' to get
A few more dollars in the old cream cheque

Chorus
Radioman won't you come and fix my radio
Nights are gettin' long here in Holstein, Ontario
Radioman come and fix my radio

Music in the stable, the girls went crazy
Betsie and Bossie and especially Daisy
Steppin round her stall like a spry young heifer
When she heard the violin played by Don Messer
And the tired old bull, well he likes the sports
He's a Maple Leaf fan, he just paws and snorts
Whenever Foster Hewitt yells He shoots, he scores!

Chorus

Late last November, just my luck
Mice got in the radio, the dial got stuck
Every night it's the same frustration
All I can get is that American station

Chorus

American sports, American news
The herd must like it 'cos the cream cheque's huge
But I think my girls are gettin' the wrong point of view

Chorus

Now my radio's all fixed up, it's zed instead of zee
'Cos we're back listening to the CBC
The girls may complain, but I just ignore 'em
They've got to learn that American is foreign!
Although sometimes even I have to wince
Been having second thoughts in the days ever since
I heard There'll Always Be an England
By the Dionne quints!

Oh what a sunny day
When they carried the radio home
Bringing him in off of the truck
And the dogs wouldn't leave us alone
Mr. Radio
Come down here to keep us company

We listen in a room
Through the miles and miles of night
Deep in the heart of the Bible Belt
In the golden radio light
Mr. Radio
Come down here to keep us company

And it's hard days out in the field
The crows in the high tree top
If the man's away from his home all day
His chickens might fall to the fox
Mr. Radio
What can you do about that uh huh

And you can take me down to a river town
Where the citizens dance till dawn
Dance so close it's a sin almost
The way they carry on
Mr. Radio
I never dreamed you could

And it's miles at the careless touch
Of a tired hand in time
When evening fell I heard a stranger sell
Dreams that were never mine
Mr. Radio
Come down here to keep us company
Come down here to keep us company

The heart is a bloom, shoots up through the stony ground
There's no room, no space to rent in this town
You're out of luck and the reason that you had to care,
The traffic is stuck and you're not moving anywhere.
You thought you'd found a friend to take you out of this place
Someone you could lend a hand in return for grace

It's a beautiful day, the sky falls
Abd you feel like it's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away

You're on the road but you've got no destination
You're in the mud, in the maze of her imagination
You love this town even if that doesn't ring true
You've been all over and it's been all over you

It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away

Touch me, take me to that other place
Teach me, I know I'm not a hopeless case

See the world in green and blue
See China right in front of you
See the canyons broken by cloud
See the tuna fleets clearing the sea out
See the Bedouin fires at night
See the oil fields at first light
And see the bird with a leaf in her mouth
After the flood all the colors came out

It was a beautiful day
Beautiful day
Don't let it get away

Touch me, take me to that other place
Reach me, I know I'm not a hopeless case

What you don't have you don't need it now
What you don't know you can feel it somehow
What you don't have you don't need it now
You don't need it now, you don't need it now

Beautiful day

Here comes the sun (du dn du du)
Here comes the sun
And I say
It’s alright

Little darling
It’s been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling
It seems like years since it’s been here

Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun
And I say
It’s alright

Little darling
The smiles returning to the faces
Little darling
It seems like years since it’s been here

Here comes the sun (du du du du)
Here comes the sun
And I say
It’s alright

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes (four times)

Little darling
I see the ice is slowly melting
Little darling
It seems like years since it’s been clear

Here comes the sun (du du du du)
Here comes the sun
It’s alright

Here comes the sun (du du du du)
Here comes the sun
It’s alright
It’s alright

I don't feel as if I know you
You take up all my time
The days are long and the night will throw you away
Cos the sun don't shine
Nobody ever mentions the weather can make or break your day
Nobody ever seems to remember life is a game we play

We live in the shadows and we had the chance and threw it away
And it's never gonna be the same
Cos the years are following by like the rain
And it's never gonna be the same
'Til the life I knew comes to my house and says
Hello

There ain't no sense in feeling lonely
They got no faith in you
But I've got a feeling you still owe me
So wipe the ________ from your shoes
Nobody ever mentions the weather can make or break your day
Nobody ever seems to remember life is a game we play

We live in the shadows and we had the chance and threw it away
And it's never gonna be the same
Cos the years are following by like the rain
And it's never gonna be the same
'Til the life I knew comes to my house and says
Hello
Hello!

It's good to be back
It's good to be back!

I'll be yours in springtime when the flowers are in bloom.
We'll wander through the meadows, in all their sweet perfume.
And every night I'll hold you tight beneath that April moon.

Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh
I'll be your girl for all seasons, all the year through.
Your girl for all seasons,
'Cause I love, yes I love to be everything to you, just you.

I'll be yours in summer, when we're playin' in the sand.
We'll spend the day together, makin' love and gettin' tanned.
And on the beach at sunset, when we're walking hand in hand.

If you fall in the fall, you'll see, September can be heavenly.
If you fall, say you'll fall for me,
When autumn leaves are fallin' from the trees.

I'll be yours in winter, when the snow is on the ground.
I'll warm you through December, and I'll always be around.
We'll kiss below the mistletoe, when Santa comes to town.

Girl for all seasons, I'll be your girl for all seasons.
Summer in sunshine, winter in snowflakes.
Springtime in showers, falling in love.
Summer, winter, spring, and fall
Yes, I'll be everything to you.
