Do you ever find yourself waiting impatiently for your bank to call you back and tell you that your money is approved? What in the world am I supposed to do while waiting?? :) Sing songs, get on here, eat (nervously).... Have you ever been in this situation? lol Have any funny stories or celebrations once the money is finally approved and you can book your vacation?

I'm confused. Are you taking out a loan or waiting for someone's check to clear?

To answer the question...No, I've luckily never had to wait on the bank for anything but wire transfers. (Which may be why I'm confused.)

Here is a idea and what we do. Have a christmas club or vacation club savings. Our bank takes a certain amount front my check and I get back towards the end of the year. I save that way and I save more on the side. We dont go every year. And really if u get a loan at like 4 or 5% thats better than a over price credit card that charges you like a high percentage. But anyway hey at least you get to go.

We pay for our trip with the Disney Visa card and get the reward points as a bonus. We always have the money saved ahead of time to pay off the card when the balance is due so we never get charged penalty fees. I have gotten so frustrated working with loan officers when I needed to get a business loan for my business. Weve never had a bad debt, business has a great track record, never been late on a payment of any kind, have A+++ credit, and still they make it soooo difficult to work with them. Tried several different banks with the same results. So I stay away from loan officers as much as I can and pay cash when I can.

No, but I had to call my credit card company before a trip to deal with a matter that would have been a "trip ender". I checked my email one last time in the hotel before going to boad the Disney Magic where I found a message about abnormal actvity. I was hoping it was our charges that were out of town, but the charges were in Australia, Great Britian, Paypal, etc... Needless to say I had to shut down my card on the spot. Had my wife decided to leave her credit card at home, like she nearly did, I guess our cruise would hve been over before we even boarded the boat.
