My daughter is looking into the CP. Who can tell us (me) about it? Where do you live when you are in the program? Benefits? If you have done the CP, would you recommend it to someone else? Thanks!

The College Program is one of the best things I have ever done. I would recomend it to anyone as long as they know they are going to work. A lot of CPs go thinking that they will get a chance to live in orlando and go play in the parks everyday but you don't you work. CPs live at 1 of 2 different apartment complexes that are about 5 mins from property. If you want to know more PM me.

I did the college program Spring 2002. I have to say it was a lot of fun. I lived in Vista Way, one of 3 apartments that CP students live in. It's behind the Wendy's/Cheveron station on 535. The other two complexes are located off Vineland near the Dixie Stampede. I lived in a 3 bedroom and worked as a lifeguard at Yacht and Beach. Like a previous poster said, it is a LOT of work, but fun. Your daughter will make lifetime friends. Good luck!

I would go to wdwcollegeprogram.com they have a lot of info. Myself who has done it, I would say it was the best thing I have done in college. I will I say it is what you make of it. If your daughter likes to speak to a lot of different people then it would be great for her, but if she is not I would say not a good thing for her.

Hello fellow Hoosier:wave: I have not done the CP at WDW, but did look very closely at the program. It sounds like an amazing opportuntity, however, some colleges will not accept the credits taken down there. Be sure to check on this before appyling. Unfortunetly for me, it was either CP or graduate a year late. Good luck with your endeavors!

If you are worried about co-ed living situations for your daughter: the actual apartments are either male or female, but the entire building has both living within it. If she is under 21, she'll also be required to live in a dry apartment and if caught drinking she'll be kicked out of the program. A great benefit of the CP is that if your daughter plans on working for Disney in the future, they really value a previous stint as a CP.

I don't have any first-hand knowledge as I ended up never doing the CP, but this is part of what I learned in my research of it when I was considering doing it.

I have done the CP twice, and am currently seasonal. The CP is a great experience. There is a lot of general info at the main website: www.wdwcollegeprogram.com. And of course, you can ask any questions here.

I just finished the program this January and had the BEST time! I went seasonal and have already been back to work (I'm currently in grad school).

The pay isn't great, but the experience is amazing. I lived in Chatam with 7 roommates, which was a little crazy, but it worked out. I made so many friends that I'm still in touch with, and so many memories.

Feel free to ask me any questions you may have!

I'm right next to you..haha

I see you are in Indy i'm just south of you. Anyways, I did the cp and I had the most amazing time. (While it lasted) I'm hoping to go back in Fall of this year! It truely is a real life experience! I think it will be the best decision for her to atleast go and try it out, and if she doesn't like it then she can go back home, but she may regret it if she doesn't try it! I think she will enjoy herself. If she chooses to go!!
