College Program in Cali?!?!

hey guys I just got a newsletter that I'm sure many of you received as well- it didn't say too much but basically they're starting the college program in cali at DL! and it will be in place for Fall 06! I was wondering if anyone had any more information on this- I'm already accepted into fall 06 at DW, but being from Arizona, DL is MUCH closer! I don't know if I would want to transfer, or even if they would let me, but I just want to see if anyone had a better feel for this?!?! that and my dad is all for it because "florida is expecting at least 6 major hurricanes of katrina magnitude and you'd be safer in cali" hahaha I told him he worries too much; if a hurricane struck i'd go hide in the utilidor! lol

Oh my gosh, if this is true I really would want to audition for that! I would love to work in Disneyland! What is this newsletter?

Edit: I just read a small article and it said that they only recruit from the pacific states...is this true?

I just got the newletter too! There's more information at www.collegeprogram.com if you don't get the newsletter. It says on the site they only are doing presentations in southern California, but there's also an e-presentation. I didn't see anything about housing though, does anyone know if they are going to have housing for the new CP's in Disneyland?

Edit: I just sent the Disneyland Resort program recruiting some questions about who could do the program and if there was housing, if I hear back from them I'll post it on here if anyone's interested.

I'm pretty sure that they would only have live presentations in the Pacific States, but anybody from the US is eligible (This is just an educated guess, though). I'm thinking this because for the College and CareerStart programs at WDW, there weren't any presentations within several states of me (I'm from Seattle) but I was still accepted after viewing the E-presentation...and there is an E-Presentation for DLR...

I'm sorry, this post seems kind of rambly, but I really don't feel like orginizing it better...

There are also whispers from our recuiters here in the UK of possible international programs for DLR in the not-too-distant future. And also, Hong Kong. :sohappy:

I'm so glad the days of program cut backs are over as it would appear that the dawn of the new age of program expansions is upon us. Yay!

maybe i misunderstood something, but I had the impression that you already worked at DW as a regular cast member- if so, would you really want to do the CP- i mean, quite honestly isn't it kinda stepping down a level?!
