I might have this in the wrong forum. But I was hoping someone that has already done the college program might be able to help me. Right now they are only taking applications for the Spring session (Jan-early May) is there a summer program? I am not totally sure I want to take a semester off yet.

And any tips/advice!?
Thanks!!

There is no session for JUST summer. You have Spring, Spring Advantage (January through August instead of May), Fall (May-January), Fall (August-January).

While we're at it, is there summer Professional Internships or no? I've done a good amount of research into them but am not totally sure. It seems like they sometimes have them. I also wouldn't be able to take a semester off but it would be a dream come true to intern there for a summer

Professional Internships at Disney are typically done AFTER a CP. Once you complete your CP you can opt to stay on seasonally or become a campus representative for the College Program itself.

That's unfortunate for me since I never did a CP. They made it clear they would rather hire a former CP than a new person just for a PI but I thought I might still have a chance. Thanks for the help

College Program receives tremendous quantities of applicants. The number of PI applicants they accept is nowhere near that. All of the CP participants I know enjoyed it and would not have traded it for anything. I am fairly sure that the PI stays booked with CP individuals.

It definitely helps to have done the CP when applying for a PI, but in most cases it is not required. Only some of the programs require that you have done a CP in order to do the PI (such as guest relations). A number of PI's have not done the college program before.

The only way you are eligible to do a summer CP is if you are a CP alumni. You must "pledge your semester" before you are able to do a summer. The programs for CP are Spring, Spring Advantage and Spring Quarter (that are being recruited for now) as well as Fall, Fall Advantage and Fall Quarter (that will be recruited for next semester). The Professional and Management Internships generally are for CP alumni but you certainly DO NOT need to be an alumni to apply for a lot of them. Some do require that you are an alumni of the CP. The MI and PI run for approximately 8 months. Hope that helps!
