Coffee in WDW

I went for a day trip in December and had a hard time finding coffee at Hollywood Studios. We went to the writers shop and ordered cafe lattes(they only had 1 size) and were so surprised when they handed us these really tiny 10oz cups.

Where is the best places to get coffee in WDW. I know EP and MK have Starbucks and so does DtD. Is there anywhere else we can try?

oh my I'm a writer and wondered about coffee at WDW as well. To my amazement I saw your post. So, it's in HS? I need to visit asap!

Actually, Hollywood Studios has many places to get coffee...
There are two places on your left as you head toward Tower of Terror...
There is a stand right next to the Pixar gateway as you head toward Midway Mania...
There is a coffee shop right on the corner next to ABC Comissary
There is another stand toward the back of the park that is just coffee and pastries...
And there will soon be a starbucks...
Not sure why you had a hard time finding a place to get any coffee you want -- but there you have it...

The mini is often on sale, especially at Kohl's. Here is an actual pic of our counter:

Prices at Kohls may depend upon what region you're in. I'd just like to share that I often get better prices on Keurigs at Bed Bath & Beyond; and also, don't forget Amazon's web site as well, for competitive prices.

I think it's a great idea that you bring a Keurig with you on vacation. :)

There is also a coffee bar in the lobby of the CR. I've never been a Starbucks fan, but I have no problem with them being in the parks. I just wish the quality and selection at the main street bakery would return to it's better days

Starbucks is a welcome addition in my opinion but quite contentious on here...

The resort food court coffee is terrible (the burnt-tasting stuff that pours from a spout out of a machine).

I really wish the resorts had better coffee...It makes it very hard in the morning to wake up with such bad coffee :)

Have you had it since they got rid of Nescafe and switched to Joffrey's?

Not sure. Was at POR last March/April and it was still terrible. Will be there in two days and will take note of the brand!
I haven't yet. Been a couple years since I was down there. Will be there in April. Is Joffrey's any better??

The Nescafe "coffee" most locations used to serve was basically like hot chocolate. Came out of a dispenser when you pushed a button combining mix with hot water. Joffrey's is actually real fresh brewed coffee and comes out of large industrial sized coffee carafes. I won't guarantee if it is better coffee as everyone likes their own brew, (Starbucks sure is doing awfully good for a coffee chain that supposedly burns its beans and doesn't know how to brew coffee.) but it is real coffee brewed fresh (no idea how long it is allowed to sit)

Thanks for the info!

Starbucks sells good coffee? I'd rather drink the Nescafe they used to serve. Not a Starbucks fan at all.

Contemporary Grounds in the lower level
Joffrey's Coffee as already mentioned is available @ many kiosks at the some park entrances and inside parks.
Kona Island in Poly
Press pot Kona coffee available in Kona Café along with Kona coffee blends
Press pot Kenyan coffee available in Jiko, Sanaa, Boma

There is coffee served all over and now most have switched to Joffrey's. The big problem is that in WDW it will cost you $3.00 for a 10 ounce cup.

Bring your own coffee and make it in your room will be a better option IMHO.

I always thought Joffrey's left a bitter burnt aftertaste. get used to it after awhile, but I've had better. to each their own.

I have not had the Joffrey's, but that could be because it sits on the burner too long.

As someone said, the Nescafe was "brewed" at the point of service. I used "brewed" loosely as it was a bag of coffee concentrate that mixed with hot water upon dispensing. The ONLY good thing about that system is that it does not sit and burn.

If they are actually brewing coffee now, they have two options. They can brew into a heated urn, but then the coffee "cooks" and can get a burnt taste, or they can brew into thermal carafes. However those need to be monitored and refreshed on a regular basis or else they go cold. I'll have to take a look at what they are doing now when we go again (hopefully in Nov)

Most of the time we just make coffee in the room using their pot and our coffee. No more Kuregs for me - after the 4th one quit working on me, I gave up. Plus it is a highly impractical (and expensive if using K-cups) system for us given how we drink coffee. I will admit it was nice for when I wanted a single cup in the evenings, but I can deal. :)

I didn't know they made a Keurig mini. Very cool!

You do not have to use k cups in a Keurig. You can easily add any ground coffee that you choose.

I see a coffee thread and jump right in! Funny enough the best places I had a cup of coffee were at Cape May after supper and BOG when we went for lunch. However my favorite would be waking up early, leaving family in room, going down to Gasparilla Grill, getting my morning cup in my refillable mug and going out to the dock to sit in the dark watching the "world" wake up.

Now doesn't that sound wonderful! I so wish I was doing that right now.

We tea people have the same issue you coffee people have - finding a decent cup - which is why I bring my own tea and electric tea kettle. Nothing beats a cup in the morning while sitting on your room balcony checking the standby times on your phone. ;)
