Hi Everyone! I've been lurking on this site for about a year now, and have meant to make trip reports for my last two trips, but wasn't able to for one reason or another. But now I'm riding off the high of winning a Disney trivia competition and decided to bite the bullet and make a pre-trip report for my two upcoming trips.
So Trip 1:
When: November 1-4, 2018
Where: Fairfield Inn Anaheim Resort
Who: Me (as of now)! To introduce myself, hi I'm Molly, here's a picture of my dad and I dressed as Belle and Maurice at last year's MNSSHP. Currently this trip is a solo trip, but a friend in California or my Aunt and Cousin from Phoenix may be joining the party for a day.
Why: I was recently promoted at work and as a reward they are sending me to a resort in California, about an hour away from Disneyland. While booking the flights for the trip, all of the new promotees were encouraged to extend our stay and see the sites. Having been to California twice before and visited most of the sites in that area already, I decided to take a quick trip over to Disneyland. It also works out well that it gives me something to plan in preparation for my big Disney World trip.
Which moves us right along to
Trip 2:
When: January 6 - 12, 2019
Where: Disney's Contemporary Resort
Who: Me, and my two Siblings B & J.J.
B is my older brother, who apparently doesn't take a lot of pictures since I had to go back to 2013 to find a picture of him by himself.
And then my younger sister J.J. who apparently suffers the same thing as my brother, though I only had to go back to 2015 for her.
Why: In 2015 my sister got her undergrad and I had gotten my new job. I realized I could afford to fly out to Disneyland, and decided to take her as a graduation gift. Then in 2017 my dad retired, and I took him to Disney World as a surprise trip. That left my brother feeling left out that he hadn't gotten an all expenses paid trip to a Disney park. So I began asking him when he'd want to go and where he would want to stay. Now our whole lives we have been camping people, and have always stayed at Fort Wilderness on our Disney trips. We had taken boat rides over to the Contemporary to walk to the Magic Kingdom if the boat was running slow, and had always wanted to stay there. So we decided this would be the trip where we finally did.
We narrowed it down to the first full week in January because I was originally going to be doing the 5K for Marathon weekend. My sister will have graduated with her Master's degree by that time and had agreed to do the run with me, and was then added to our trip. However, due to some unforeseen circumstances that would have resulted in me having a 6 month rotation in England and having to cancel the trip altogether I missed the sign up for the 5K. So we added another day in the park and are probably all happier for it.
ADRs:
January 6:
10:30am Crystal Palace Breakfast
6:30pm Fireworks Dessert Party Plaza View
January 11:
11:00am Be Our Guest
I didn't want to overload the trip with ADR's as in past trips its made it more complicated. So this is how the trip is until November 7th when I can book my fastpasses.
I'll keep updating this with anything that might come up for Disneyland or Disney World as it gets closer.
