CM's and cell phones ?

Are cast members permitted to have their cell phones with them while working on stage? And if so, are they allowed to be turned on at all times?

That's kind of a trick question. No, cast members are not permitted to have their cell phones with them while working on stage. However, managers/coordinators aren't checking pockets either. If a guest was having a medical emergency, you better believe it's appropriate to call 911 from a cell phone although cast members are encouraged to use a park/house phone.

I would be surprised if they could. When DS was a CM, they were VERY strict about what they could have-he couldn't even wear sunglasses! The only question I have is how do the CMs alert anyone if there's an emergency.

There are phones throughout the parks.

In my area, cell phones can be on your person. However, they are not allowed to be out while onstage

Keep it in your pocket and not visible. Some managers don't care, others are little dictators that love to write people up.
