Just letting folks who want to know, well, know..

CM previews for the new Nemo ride, the Seas with Nemo and Friends, will be on October 12th during regular park hours (9am-9pm) and CM's can bring up either the max guests (typically 3) on their maingate or 1 guest if they don't have a maingate.

For those keeping score, this is the day before AP and DVC previews start, suggesting WDI's "rumored" turnover date for the attraction is still October 9th and no one should anticipate being able to get inside the ride before then for any reason.

I'm sure it will be a good one. However, after the frenzy and hoopla surrounding the opening of EE earlier this year, I find that I simply can't get myself up for this one for some reason.

Am I that jaded already?

Probably because it's just a cute dark ride. I never got too excited over Everest, different strokes for different folks ;)

I'm really, i dunno, curious? I think that's the right way to describe it.. Everest you could see everything. This one has been a mystery hidden in a big tank surrounded by sharks.

I will try to write a review and pix.
Thanks for that. Are they going to let you take pics? I have a friend down here in one of my classes and I will try to work on her to see if I could go then. But it is only a day before they let the AP people in.

I can just imagine the blinding flash photography that will occur within the first few days in the acrylic tube portion of the ride.

Reflective surfaces, projected Disney characters, and AP holders weilding cameras, oh yeah - burnt corneas here we come!

AHH, IM BLIND!! The loss of vision really gives new meaning to finding Nemo,

I can just imagine it now...
*Flash, flash* "LOOK ITS NEMO"
"WHERE I CANT SEE!"
"RIGHT THERE, IM GONNA TAKE A PICTURE" followed by 200 more flashes. Then getting off the ride, "Ugh, I missed Nemo"
"Dont worry well get back on again!"
"Hooray!"

Yep, lines for this one are going to be like 5 hour waits with lines all the way up the entrance plaza just because of the rerideability of finding Nemo without the flash. Maybe it should be renamed Flashing Nemo, hmm.
Prep yourself folks. Oh and bring some sunglasses...

Your right though merf, the flashes from the cameras are going to be numerous and nuts. And a pain in the butt for video :lookaroun but where theres a will, theres a way!

Immediately after "previews" the ride will close to add in some "screen technology."

Right before you enter the acrylic tunnel through the main tank, there's Dory on a screen: "Hey everyone! Time to put on your "Fish-o-vision goggles to speak whale!"

Everyone puts on their hastily-painted-blue Tough To Be a Bug glasses and endures the strobe light fest, the windows have been blacked out for the protection of the actual sea life, and at the unloading area everything has been padded for your protection.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH, I'm SO EXCITED.

I need to request that day off, there is NO WAY I will work after getting up at 5 to get there so I can be first in line ;)

What you said I am agreeing/thinking 100%. Not only that, but not everyone is making the speculation for this ride as they were for Expedition Everest. Lets face it, they Discovery Channel & all doing stories on this ride. You heard about the yeti, you heard about how it was made. Well, this is new & fresh from the oven & top secret til the day it is opened to CM, AP, & DVC members.

WANTED: Any Disney Cast Member in search of three friends. I, DW and DS will be in WDW October 6-13 and would like the chance to see NEMO. We are nice people and will not embarrass you in any way. Pretty please?

What is the typical "lag time" between previews and official openings? I'll be there Oct. 21 through the 27th and I'd like to see it. (Especially since the whole pavillion was closed while I was there last year.) Will there be any chance that a common visitor such as my self (no AP  ) will be able to see the new ride during my stay???

BUMP!!!

I'm still wondering if any of you out there know what the traditional "lag time" is between previews and openings to general public.

Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks!!!
