Club Level- Poly v. GF v. CR

Hello everyone.

We are currently booked for the end of August at a theme park view club level room at CR. as a family, we love CR,since we spend most of our time at MK.

With that said, we have the opportunity stay at either of the above instead of our current reservation. In fact, both would be a slight cost decrease.

Does anyone have any experience when comparing these 3? We are completely torn now.

As an aside, Poly and GF are not theme park view. The poly is a lagoon view and GF is standard view. All are club level.

Thanks in advance.

Anyone with any insight? We are really only thinking about the Poly option as that is more appealing based on theming alone.

Curious what a lagoon view looks like and if you can see the MK from that view

Any reason why?

We are struggling with this as we have always wanted to try the poly.

I have stayed club level Poly.

Some of the rooms now classified as lagoon view were formerly theme park view...but the bungalows now obstruct *some* of the view. However, you will be able to watch Wishes from any of those rooms, since the fireworks are high in the sky. The soundtrack is piped into speakers around the grounds, so you can hear that as well.

You can also see the castle from most of those rooms. "Theme Park View" is really a misnomer because you really can see only the castle and Space Mountain...CR, being closer and taller, has better views of the rides in the park.

That said, I pick Poly over CR every time. Love the theming, location (quick walk to TTC for Epcot monorail) and amenities.

The 2-story club lounge has wonderful views and is a nice place to eat breakfast. And it has POG juice!! The other food offerings throughout the day are very good and the dessert bar at night is great! There is also a nice selection of adult beverages. I cannot compare it to CR or GF club since I have not experienced those.

The club CMs are friendly and helpful.

If you have always wanted to stay at Poly, I don't think you will be disappointed with a lagoon view club level room .

As OP's wife, I can tell you this has been the basis of our conversation all day today. I'm concerned that Poly shares HS, AK and Disney Springs buses with other resorts. I don't remember if we shared buses with other resorts at CR. I'm also concerned about the view from the room. I don't want to be disappoint. When we stayed at AKL this winter with a paid for, upgraded savannah view, the first room they put us in was awful. Put everyone in a lousy mood until they changed our room the following day after I complained. What buildings are used for club level at Poly? If several, is one better than the other? We need to make our decision tonight. Thanks!

I just checked. It seems Hawaii is the concierge only building and tonga Is the concierge suite building. Can anyone confirm?

All monorail resorts share buses to DHS, AK and DTD, the exception being first thing in the morning if a bus fills completely at the first resort stop. Which resorts are combined varies ~ sometimes it is CR/Poly and WL/GF, other times WL/CR and Poly/GF. The afternoon/evening bus at DHS is the "COPOFLO" (CR/Poly/GF) and has been for years. (A bus driver called it this and we always laugh about it!) So bus transportation should not factor into your decision.

Room view ~ As I mentioned in my earlier post, you can see the castle and Space Mountain from theme park view rooms at the Poly (remember the Poly is all the way across the lagoon from MK.) I know my avatar is small, but the picture was taken from a theme park view room in Tuvalu (the boat dock is in the center of the picture.) Trust me, we could see the castle and had a great view of Wishes. Hawaii is the club level building which is right on the beach and the theme park view room we had in Hawaii had an even better castle view. The bungalows were not yet built when we stayed in Hawaii, but I have read that they do not obstruct the views from rooms in the theme park view category. Additionally, rooms include beautiful views of the lagoon and beach, unlike the massive parking lot view you have at the CR in a theme park view room.

Tonga is the other club level building. Located near the marina, Tonga only has suites.

There is something really neat about swimming in the Poly pool with the castle in the background. And I have read good things about the new infinity hot tub with a similar view.

People rave about the ability to walk to MK from CR. In all our stays at CR, we never walked once. We can walk anywhere, but we cannot ride a monorail anywhere but Disney! We enjoy the option of riding the monorail and taking the boat to MK when we stay at the Poly.

Happy to answer any other questions you may have.

IMHO. GF is best! It's the flagship resort, and the evening food/some hot food I am sure would be delightful! But, POLY would be 2nd for me. I'm not sure if the club level rooms for CR are good views or not? Man... it wouldn't matter to me. If you've got the $$$$ go for the GF!:D
