We are currently looking into staying club level at WL for our next trip. However I am wondering if it would be of any benefit? Seeing as we always have the deluxe dining package and will once again for our next trip. Thoughts?

We stayed club level on our honeymoon. It's been quite a few years so I'm sure things have changed. We had deluxe dining and never really felt like we got to take advantage of what they offered for that perk. Concierge was a big benefite but not sure that have that on club level anymore.

We've stayed club level at BW, Beach Club and Contemp. Both have pretty much the same offerings. You get "appetizer" type foods at meal times and snacks throughout the day. Plus free drinks & coffee (including beer) There's the concierge which can help you do things like make dining reservations, and the such. However, we've never used a dining plan because of this. That might be a lot of food lol

Never had the dining plan.....but stayed on club level 6 out of past 9 years and felt most of the benefit was actually utilizing the food there....very convienent to walk down hall for a hot breakfast rather healthy options to boot.....and that way all of the family didn't have to be ready to hit the parks to eat too. We took advantage of the snacks if we were around, and on longer trips after eating rich foods it was pleasant to come back to our room a few of the days for dinner and dessert. No wait, nice selections from Artists Pointe usually, and was a nice balanced assortment I would say went way beyond appetizer status, varied daily, but very pleased. It came in handy when someone in our group was not feeling well either. SO the food was a major factor in that decision, the other was it is very quiet and laid back up there. :) Years back we stayed below to spend over $100 on a bitty breakfast downstairs that was uber crowded and hectic and hard to find a table when busy. I use my Disney reward dollars to pay for most of the food....I know I could use it for room or tickets or airline, but that's how we roll. Don't think they offered the dining plan while we were there....usually Jan or early Feb.

Just to note, I read on DIS Boards that there is currently construction and relocation work going on with Club Level at Wilderness Lodge.

In my personal experience, I found the one time we did the Deluxe dining plan and stayed club level we did not take advantage of the food offerings. We mainly used the club for water, sodas, and maybe an adult beverage at night. We were staying at WL club level during this trip, too.

Another time we did Deluxe and stayed at the Polynesian non-club level and that worked out better for us. We didn't feel like we were wasting money on something we weren't enjoying.

We don't really use the ADR making service offered to club level guests, so if we aren't enjoying the club snacks, in our eyes it is a waste of our money. You may have a different experience.

If we get a dining plan when we are club level now, we purchase the standard dining plan (1 TS per day, 1 QS, 1 snack) and use our TS credits at signature restaurants. This way we have some nights we have no ADRs since we are using 2 TS credits when we do dinner, then we can leisurely enjoy the club offerings on our 'off' nights. We found we like not having to rush to an ADR each evening, and we get a chance to make the most of our club level experience.

Club level has been cut in half with the south wing currently closed. Also, The Old Faithful Lounge is currently closed. Check out our Facebook page, Humphreys Unofficial Wilderness Lodge Pages for updates and info on the Lodge.
Oh I looked at your facebook page and alas, I am not a facebooker but did see the lounge pics. Could not find a trip report though. Can anyone tell me what the status of the club level is NOW? Is it still half shut and Old Faithful defunct? Is Old Faithful to be a DVC Lounge going forward?

Read on Disboards that the temporary lounge is in the former vp suite.....which was a very nice suite, I have been in it for a peek. The presidential is much nicer and would be harder to turn into a food venue. In any event, in the past our room of choice was right around the corner from this vp suite and it was super quiet and remote. Now that the destination for grub is nearby I will have to rethink request.
I read the whole bank of elevators was shut in the lobby....can anyone confirm? I guess one would have to use the 2 at the end of the North Wing, Bet they would be busy......
