We did club level a the Grand Floridian last year. Although it was nice I don't believe it is worth the money for what you actually get. We won't be doing club level again.

I experienced club level at the Poly in 2007.
I didn't pay for it, it was a surprise upgrade when we checked in.
I don't think it would have been worth the extra cost had we paid for it.
We had already made all our ADRs, so we didn't need any help from the staff for that or any other service. The food that was put out in the lounge we didn't take advantage of most of the time because we were at the parks all day.

I had done (and paid for) club level at the Grand Floridian in 1990, and back then I thought it was worth the extra cost. For one your inside the main building, concierge is the top three floors if I remember right. The food spread was enormous and plentiful. My wife and I made a point to leave the parks to come back for the spread at certain times instead of going to a restaurant. The staff was overly friendly and attentive to our every need. Off the cuff we wanted to try the Hoop De Doo Review dinner show. We didn't have reservations, but the concierge got us in that evening!

I didn't experience the same level at the Poly 2 years ago. I know times change and 1990 is a long time ago. That fact doesn't change what my definition of what a value is. For example when we checked in to the Poly we were upgraded to club level and we checked into the Hawaii building that afternoon. We met the concierge and he told us to go up to the lounge upstairs and enjoy the spread while we wait for our rooms to be ready.

We get there and all that is on the table is a small bowl of blue tortilla chips and an even smaller bowl of half consumed salsa. The was also a jar of Gummi Sharks next to it.

We had a few issues with the room, burnt out light bulbs and a broken fridge that we had to call the staff several times to get fixed. We first called at 1PM and they finally sent someone to fix it at 1AM. We also got an argument from the housekeeper afterwards.

Maybe I was there on a bad week or my expectations were too high.

The rest of the week more food was brought out, but considering what you pay extra for the room, if your paying, how much is a free bagel in the morning worth to you and is it really free?

The best part was being in the main building at the Floridian, but what was offered could never substitute lunch or dinner - it was mostly snacks such as crackers, dips, cheese, and cookies. We did enjoy the breakfast, but I still would never pay for it again.

It was more then worth the money for us. Almost every breakfast we did in the lounge. The amount of beer alone I think would have been more cost then it was to add concierge when the beer was $6.50 at the pool bar and we could just get it from the lounge which was almost as close to the pool as the bar. The kids snacked all day and you can't beat the fresh baked cookies. Evening offerings are not matched by any other concierge in WDW except for AKL sometimes gets close. The offerings in the evening were so good this trip last week that it was hard to want to go out and eat. Once you smelled it in the lobby of the Hawaii longhouse you had to go up and get some. Desserts were great and the coffee machine saved us from going to the coffee bar and spending every morning or evening.

Here is some info I put together to help people decide on concierge or not.

A concierge is only good if you make use of the perks.

We've stayed at The Polynesian Concierge twice and we're doing it again in September. We got an Annual Passholders discount which gave us about a 40% savings on the room.

We eat breakfast in the Concierge Lounge just about every day.
We drink a LOT of soft drinks while on vacation and it's free in the lounge 24/7 as is fresh coffee. (and the coffee in the lounge is MUCH better than the room coffee)

The evening snacks, food, and drink offerings are great and sometimes enough to tide you over until morning which saves us the price of a dinner.

The Hawaii longhouse is close to The Great Ceremonial House and the volcano pool.
It's also right on the beach so we can watch wishes either from the beach, or from the lounge which has the wishes music piped in.

The short walk to the Ticket and Transportation Center and/or the Boat to The Magic Kingdom is a blessing.

While it is a bit pricey, I figure we save money from the AP discount and all the food offerings there.

If you are the type that gets up, goes straight to the parks, and stays until it closes, then go straight back to your room to collapse, then perhaps concierge at The Polynesian isn't for you, but if you are like my wife and I, who stay for a week, take our time and enjoy the views, sounds, food, snacks, and drink offerings that The Polynesian Concierge has to offer, then it's worth the money.

I personally love concierge. I guess its because we dont have to deal with all the other people at the quick service restaurants for breakfast every morning. We use to just buy bagels before we left and then toasted them in the room. But with conciergr we dont have to. I like to eat all the time so instead of going and waiting in line for snacks that I have to pay for, just go to the loungs. BUT MY FAVORITE part is ALL I CAN DRINK!! When im on vacation I drink alot of beer and the fact that I can have as much as I want whenever is worth it to me. My fiance also loves the evening cordials. Try getting a little glass of Carvesie( How ever its spelled) at any bar. The cheapest its ever been was $10 for a shot and that wasnt even in Disney World. If your like us and like to drink and hang out and really soak up the Resort then its worth it.

I don't have any prices for next year but I know of some deals but I don't think they want me to post them.

That second link I gave you lists all that comes with club level. The only thing I have to add from being there last week is they now have clocks with Ipod docks in them but all Polynesian rooms now have that. Also if you have any special dietary needs you can email the concierge ahead of time and they will have some items available for you.

The biggest plus for me is the location of the building.

I agree. We just returned from staying Club Level at the Grand Floridian. We had the 35% off special, so I really can't complain, but I don't think it would be worth paying extra for at full price. The only thing we took advantage of was the breakfast in the morning. Unless you're going to spend a lot of time at the resort, I wouldn't go for the club level. I'd rather spend the money on a couple of nice dinners and souvenirs.
