Club Level at CSR

Seems like all other Disney Club Levels. Soda, water, fruit, some breakfast pastries, chips and pretzels. I suppose if you're going to eat $150 worth of that stuff every day, it's perfect for you.

The one person I know that booked for January, only paid $60 more for 5 nights. I can't wait to see the price list. I was told in May that it would be around $20 extra per night but that is not official.

I'm guessing that's just at CSR, correct? Sure as heck ain't that cheap at the Deluxe Resorts.
Yes.

I checked a number of dates from value to holiday season and the price over a standard room peaked at about $84 per night, the low end was around $50/night. Of course if these rooms are preferred or water view the $20/night figure is about right.

Not everyone thinks the club level experience is a complete rip off. For a family of four who snacks and spends a lot of time at the resort, a large portion of the extra nightly cost can be accounted for in the food and beverages from the club level. Additionally, part of what you're paying for is the more relaxed experience of enjoying the lounge and extra staff members to help you. It's the same thing as people who feel that paying for anything but a value is a "rip off" because all you're doing at the resort is sleeping and showering and you can sleep and shower the same at All Start Sports as the Grand Floridian. Club level is a good upgrade for many families.

We pay for Deluxe Resorts simply because we like to be closer to the parks, have more dining options, and can't all fit in a Value room.

I guess every family is different. We stayed Club Level at the Wilderness Lodge for 2 weeks a few years back, and there is no way we ate over $2,000 worth of gummy bears, soda, pretzels and pastries.

It is not a value to you because you are only using one aspect of it. The exact same is true for my family as well. We do not really have a need for the other things that club level offers making it largely a waste. However, when you get a group that can use those features, it can be money well spent.

Different people have different needs which makes for different values.

Did you really expect to?

My husband and I got a free upgrade to club level at the Yacht Club in 2010 during our honeymoon. It was just the two of us, we spend a lot of time at the resort, and are big snackers and not big eaters. The breakfast we had each day easily would have cost us $10/person from the quick service stop at the BC. The non-alcoholic beverages and snacks we had in the afternoon would have run us about $8/person. At night, we both had at least two alcoholic beverages and appetizers - at a bar it would have run us about $20/person. Right there, thats nearly $80 worth of food each day. Using your number of an extra $150/night, was the "lost" $70 worth having the more relaxed club level experience? For the two of us, for a special trip, maybe.

Now if you have two or three kids in your room, you've added a value of about $30 in breakfast and at least an extra $30 in snacks and beverages (I'll assume they aren't big drinkers). Additionally, you've added the ability to get all of your kids drinks and snacks without having to trek to the pool or quick service restaurant, wait in line, etc.

I guess my point is that if you have a family like this, club level is an excellent upgrade. For your family and ones who spend a lot of time at the parks, probably not. After our club level experience we decided that we wouldn't pay for it for the two of us unless its a special occasion but once we have kids (#1 due in 2 weeks!), we probably will.
