Club 33

My question is, why doesn't Disney World have a "club" like Disneylands Club 33? Wouldn't it be pretty easy to do all the same things Club 33 offers at Disney World? The way I read it, is it's a very nice dining place for members, includes park admission, allows 6 fast passes, early admission and valet parking. Don't see why Disney Workd can't do something similar. The price is astronomical though. $40k to join and around 20k annually I believe.

Once heard somebody say the reason they won't is because it would take the 'uniqueness' of club 33 in Disneyland away, not sure how true that is though?

There is also the issue of the need or demand for it.

While Club 33 is a holy grail for us Disney nuts, it is a business investment for the majority of the members. It is there to entertain and impress clients.

You have a serious amount of high price business going on in neighboring LA, Hollywood, etc. I might be off on this, but I just don't see a similar situation in Orlando.

You may very well be right there? To be honest even if I won the lottery, I doubt very much I'd pay money like that to eat in an overpriced 'exclusive' Disney restaurant. As you say it's more an 'image' thing than actual value for money and I'd probably just pay for a private tour backstage and see far more.

Only thing I can think of is that WDW has tons and tons of restaurants, when DL has limited options bc of size. So it gives and extra exclusive place to dine. Money wise it wouldn't make sense at WDW, just interesting they don't offer something like that.

The size of the resort has nothing to do with anything. Neither does the number of restaurants matter. Club 33's concept existed before WDW.

During Disneyland's early days, Walt Disney wanted an exclusive place in the park for his investors to be entertained and whatnot. This is the origins of Club 33. Again, has nothing to do with DL's size and number of restaurants.

Speak for yourself. If I won the lottery (I mean like in the millions), I'd put my name on the list and set aside the money, even if only for a year or two (if that's even possible).

If I were in a situation where I won the lottery, then I'd totally put my name on the list. However, I couldn't justify saving that type of money for elite status at Disneyland.

Oh they have someting similar to Club 33...But, it's a neighborhood...Chances are you'd never reach the amount to get a house..
