Clean water in Splash Mountain

While at MK last week it seemed to both my wife and I that the water in Splash Mountain was the cleanest and least smelly we have ever noticed. Do they flush it out and replace the water regularly and we happen to ride soon afterward, or could we just be imagining things?

Probably just getting immune to the smell lol kidding I've never really noticed it smelling THAT bad but maybe a few times here and there.
I never really noticed the water smelling bad. In fact I've always been kind of fond of the smell of the water in Splash, Pirates, etc. For a while though, the logs reeked of mildew really bad but that was taken care of a few years ago.

The area below the main drop smelled like a toilet a couple weeks ago. You could smell it from the bridge too, but it didn't seem to be the water. What got on us didn't smell.

Only where water regularly flows fast does it not take the time to digest all those lovely organic compounds suspended in it. When you live in coastal lowlands you know this from an early age.

That's good to know. Maybe they will keep it cleaner. This is the only reason why I refuse to ride SM because I hate smelling like that all day. Makes me gag. :hungover:
