I think they need to make a disney dvd based on all the classic rides that are no longer in use.Prehaps before they took all the classic rides down they filmed through them all.I am talking about the people who work at walt disney world not the people who film the rides that are guests. So what would you like to see on this dvd of classic rides. And these disney dvd classic rides would come in volumes because there would not be enough room for all the rides on one dvd.

You know they had those special CDs... like the 30th Anniversary Haunted Mansion CD and such... that had all sorts of special bonus audio and rare tracks and stuff...

I think Disney could make a killing if they sold digital "albums" of their most popular attractions, current and closed alike, except that instead of being in only audio form, they'd be DVDs that would have special audio from the attractions as well as special video clips... perhaps a "behind the scenes" video clip or a "The Making Of..." type of clip plus full ride-through videos...

They could make a lot of money... *shakes head* :lookaroun

i would LOVE to see some professionaly shot attraction 'souvineer' videos...

actually, a great thing would be if disney filmed the attractions using a dome-rig (not entirely sure what it's called for video camers) which would allow you watch the attraction with full camera control - meaning you would have the ability to look around as you move thru the attraction...

i've seen quicktime videos like that - and they were absolutely astonishing... you could go thru the attraction over and over again looking in different directions - the closest thing to actually riding the attraction.

i can think of another way to better preserve some of our beloved lost attractions :0 and i would definately purchase every one they made!

let me just tell anyone who doesnt already know, the 'where the magic lives' is an ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC excuse for a souvineer DVD. some of the footage is soooooooo incredibly old, and DVD quality is not kind to it at all.

it seems like it was thrown together, and hardly worth the price tag. the vacation planning DVD is a summer blockbuster by comparison (and it's free too).

there was already 1 (if not more) threads bashing disney's poor excuse for a souvineer DVD so i wont get into the details again - just stay away, stay far far away...

There is a website that sells dvds of exticnt attractions. I haven't seen any so I can't vouch for the quality. I don't have the url right now but if anyone wants it let me know I can get it for you.
