Classic Epcot: The Good Turn Murals?

The Good Turn basically the rotating restaurant upstairs in the Land which is currently the Garden Grille.

When I was very young, my family ate there a few times...does anyone remember the old murals they had on the left side, after you went past the scenes from Listen to the Land?

I'm wondering if they were Mary Blair murals, I don't remember much about them, but they had depictions of medieval things? princesses? playing cards? I know it was very abstract but it's such a blur...

hehe, at least I know I'm somewhat unique in remembering this.

I don't know when it changed either, but I think the restaurant has had 3-4 names in its history

Yeah, off of the top of my head I can think of The Good Turn, The Land Grille, and Garden Grill. I also seem to remember something about a lounge, too...

I've eaten there way back when etc etc. Loved it, don't really remember what the murals looked like. Not Mary Blair.

Vegetation scenes, I think. Sunflowers, flowering fields etc.
Is this what you mean:

Cool stuff....I never knew it was named all of those. :D Any idea why?

I never ate there or really knew what it was growing up. My family usually just ate at the foodcourt in the Land Pavillion. I've only recently learned that this is a rotating restuarant. If I knew it as a kid, I'd probably would've wanted to take a spin on it at the very least.

So I'd imagine that it was originally named 'The Good Turn' because of that rotating feature. I don't know why it was changed to 'The Land Grill' to start. But it seems like a pretty generic name. A Grill in the Land Pavillion. How it went to the Garden Grill just makes no sense. Unless the Garden part is in reference to the boat ride and the plants growing there?

I have this faint recollection that at the time of the first name change, the idea was to remove the rotating restaurant implication from the name.

Made no sense to me. I liked "The Good Turn".

I just always thought it was to fit with The Land's themes. Especially around early 1990s to the country theme. :o

While The Garden Grill is fine name-wise, The Land Grille Room is also nice....
