Classic Disney CD

Not sure if everyone knows about this CD box set already, or if it has already been mentioned, but if not, here goes.

I got this CD box set about 4 months ago, and I haven't stopped listening to it. The CD is called

Classic Disney: 60 Years of Musical Magic

It contains 5 CD's, and I think it is an Australian Import. I haven't seen it either in stores, or anywhere at WDW.

I could go on and on about what is in this box set, but you can see for yourself if you want to look it up on Amazon:

All of them are original tunes. It is a terrific and fun CD. Why Disney doesn't think of releasing something like this domestically, I haven't a clue.

WOW! I don't have that one!
I do however have the original Box Set of the Magical Music of Walt Disney, that includes 4 records and a full color book!

I'm guessing that this one is more recent than what you described. It has the songs from the newer Disney hand-drawn animation including The Lion King, Pocahantas, etc., along with the older classics, even from Song of the South and Mary Poppins. It's a terrific mix and highly recommended.

I got that CD set a couple of years ago and it is great! My only complaint is that they needed one more CD :lol: They're missing some great songs like "The Three Caballeros" or "Friend like me" and "Prince Ali." But yeah I love that set :D

Maybe they'll come up with another volume. From what I understand, the CDs were initially released individually. Maybe that's what Tigggrl got?

I would buy another volume in a heartbeat, no question.

I do have the classic Disney volumes, and also the Legacy in song cd's. The record box set I mentioned was from EARLY on.... in the 60's I believe, and it has a full color book that goes along with it...I DO wanna get the Disneyland cd set for the anniversary....probably for my DH for his birthday:) We both collect Disney records...as they remind me of when I was a little girl, dancing around to the cinderella record!
I will have to scan a pic of a few of the 45 record sleeves for my photo albums on here....Its so much fun to go bargain hunting!


And yes, I have 3 of the Small World records, and 1 45....

The cds were originally released in single cd form, from 1995 to 1998 entitled Classic Disney. According to amazon, is shows that Classic Disney Volume 1, was infact released in the US but 2 to 5 were not. Not sure if anyone has looked at the Amazon listing for this box set recently, but unless my mind is playing tricks on me, there's a significant price drop on this box set. You get the 5-CD collection for barely $30!

I just ordered 2. This would make perfect Christmas gifts to a couple of people that I know!

I would like to point out that Volume 6 of this collection is now available (at least on Amazon). The box set contains vol 1-5, so this would be a natural addition to this collection.

I haven't bought it yet, but I will in a couple of week.

I don't know why they named it Volume 6. It's Volume 5 :hammer: If you notice they skip over volume 5 and the listing for 6 is the same.
