Cirque du Soleil's La Nouba Question

Wow, I heard the same fact in Disney-Central last night. Perhaps you were the same person?

I watched the 45 minute DVD version. Nothing bad yet. I can take loud music, though, I watched Zach's band play at CityWalk, and they were BLARING.

The release date fits in nice, as I'm not heading over until November 17, I believe.

While We're At It...

What is everyone's opinion of the minimum age to see the show?

I took my then-5-year-old daughter to see the show 2 years ago and she loved it. Her brother is now almost 4 and I'm thinking we'd all go as a family, but I'm not sure he's old enough. He can sit through a movie so that's not a problem, and I think he'd be captivated and amazed by the show. I'm not sure if he'd be a bit freaked by the weirdness of it. (I was!) He's not spooked easily, though - the only thing that gets him is near-total darkness.

Also... we're leaving Friday for a week and don't have tickets yet (because I've been wondering if we should go). If we decide to go, can you get decent seats a few days in advance?

We're going back to WDW next year, so we could always do Cirque on that trip instead...

Thanks!

Jon

The full DVD version of La Nouba comes out on DVD, Novemer 2nd. The "Inside La Nouba" DVD that is out now is about 70% of the show and some of the behind the scenes stuff.

That figures. I just spent like $30 on the Inside La Nouba DVD in July. I heading back in November. If I'd known that, I'd have waited for the full version. :brick:

Everytime I buy something, something else better comes out weeks-months later. I bought my game boy color, a couple months later game boy advance was announced. I finally get a game boy advance for Christmas, a few weeks later game boy advance sp is announced. I really want an sp, but I'm afraid to buy it. Same thing happens with other things too. I finally got Mary Poppins on DVD less than a year ago, and now I hear that a special edition 2 disc set is gonna be released. Another thing I could've waited on. Oh well. [/rant]

When we went, we took our 2 and 3 year old. Usually when we take them to a movie that is not themed to their interests they grow restless or take a nap. That's what we thought about La Nouba. Nope, they were wide eyed the whole time. They loved it. It is one of their all time favorite things. Even when we were leaving the theatre they were asking to go back and watch the whole thing again.

You know what's messed up? People here gave me neg rep points, saying in their comment that they gave me neg rep points because I had ligrophobia, and was worried about one of the best shows ever!
