The Tokyo Disney resort just keeps getting better and better it seems. I'm jealous.

I need to start saving up my pennies so I can afford a trip there by 2008.

I wonder where the planned Paris one will be... and when will they set their sights on Anaheim?
I've seen Cirque in Toronto, Montreal and WDW. Not my thing (but the women I've dated LOVE it).
But IF DLP could some how pull off getting Cirque (ie $) to set up a permanent show at the resort it could be an amazing draw for them!
I wonder about Anaheim with Vegas being relatively close but it would make sense.
BTW Marni, LMAO over your tag line "Park History Nut, & Male"
No offense buddy, but I'm guilty of thinking you were female the first time I read one of your posts.

Sorry about that. :lookaroun

Looks like I will now have to definitely find a way to get to Tokyo.

This show should be an interesting mix of Asian culture and the Cirque style.

To answer about Paris and Anaheim: Paris is definitely a possibility if Disney has enough money for this over there. I can't see one in Anaheim because it is so close to Vegas, and Vegas will soon have 5 Cirque shows and a Dragone show that is pretty much a Cirque Show.

Now, here is a rumor: Originally, Disney wanted to move La Nouba from WDW and put it in Tokyo. This would have meant that WDW would have gotten a new show. I guess the Oriental Land Co. decided differently.

And speaking of the Oriental Land Co., with their funds, this show should be a rival of "O" and KA.

Yeah, a Cirque show in TDR would be awesome. Seems like a perfect fit with the elements of their culture -blends interests from old and new generations. I wonder where they'd put the theatre - would think it would have to be in Ikspari area somewhere.

Really? I've always heard that Disney could never have Cirque in Paris. Don't remember the reason but I suspect maybe it has something to do with the fact that Cirque is actually French Canadian, not French. Maybe it was more of a "cultural sensitivity" issue rather than a rule, per se.

I agree. Besides, I just don't see how Disneyland has the space for any type of permanent theatre that large. I imagine it would have to be smaller than the FL one but even then, you've just eaten up all the space earmarked for either Downtown Disney expansion (per capita after all is Disneyland's key metric) or hotel expansion. I could, however, see perhaps a temporary (travelling) show either in the Grand lot or Fujishige lot. But that just seems so un-Disney.

Its a cross I have to bear...

Its a nickname given to me a long time ago by a dear friend no longer with us. Alcohol was involved and its a long story....

Little did I realise you guys have it as a female name until recently.

My shoulders are broad. I can take it.
