Cinderella's table

Tips are included at CRT, no matter how you pay.

Kids get a wand or a sword, but we are a table of three adult males still got swords ;-)

Thank you for posting this info! I was going to ask this because our very first trip is next month, and we have an ADR at CRT and are paying with our DDP. I wasn't sure if that meant we would have to add in a tip separately, or if we would be charged extra.

Thanks again! :)

Yup, I did know, thanks :) I made sure to study the dining plans like crazy before selecting one lol so I did see that CRT is 2, but still wasn't sure how payment worked since we are using the DDP and not credit or cash.
It's very daunting trying to make all these plans without actually having been in WDW. Hopefully it will work out for us.

You're in the right spot though...if you have any questions on attractions, dining, etc, post it up here and we're happy to help you out. It is very exciting to plan a trip to WDW...especially a first trip!!

Does anybody know how strictly they stick to the gendered toy policy? If we ask for a wand for my son instead of a sword, they won't care, right? We have a "no weapons as toys" policy in our house. Would I just need to talk to whoever seats us? If they hand him a sword it's much harder to swap.

We did CRT in October during our most recent trip, and we've done it on each of our previous trips. I'll echo what other posters have said. We really didn't notice anything much different since the refurbishment. I think most of what was done was "behind-the-scenes" type stuff in the kitchen. Out in the public areas, it seemed pretty much limited to things like paint and carpet.

That being said, I had no complaints about CRT to begin with, so it didn't matter. We think it's a fantastic experience, and will surely do it again when we go back. As has been said, the food is definitely good. I'd say it's a cut above most -- though not all -- table service restaurants. The photo op with Cinderella is nice, and the character interaction during the meal is very good.

One other note: We always do the dining plan. As long as you're on an appropriate dining plan (i.e., one that includes table service credits), you can book CRT without paying anything in advance. They'll accept you being on the DDP as your "prepayment." So nothing out of pocket. When you get there, you still have the option of using your DDP to pay or paying cash, whichever you prefer. Just remember that it's 2 TS credits per person, as it is considered a signature dining experience. Still, we always use the DDP for it and find it to be a good value.

The difficult part would be the fact that it may not be your server who hands toys to your table. If I remember right just one server passed them to several tables. I don't think they worry about the gender issue, but you are more likely to end up with both sword and wand if your son won't let go of it!
