Hey Yall,

I'm a big fan of CSC even though it is now closed. I have questions on how some of the things are done. First how does Cindy go from her ball gown to her rags. Also when the Evil Queen arrives one year I saw her come out on a elvator like platform. But the last time I saw it she just walked up the steps. Does anyone know why?

The way Cindy goes from her gown to rags is if you ever notice that before that part she is not on stage. This is because she is back stage changing from her gown to the rags outfit. After she has the rags on she puts on a cover that looks like her gown that can be ripped off. I dont know how they rip it off but I would asume string atached to the outfit. The strings are attached at a reel so that when it time for the transformation it pulls the clothing off faster than you can see. It's a very old magic trick.

The Elevator most offten than not is not working so plan B is for her to walk up the steps.

The elevator broke is always the reason she walks up the steps. As for the dress pull it's all done by human hands. No mechanisms. There is a tech just below the balcony right behind her. As for the actor, here's a secret. It's not the same Cindy you see on stage.

Last time I saw it, the elevator worked BOTH times. And it was at night so the flames from the evil Queen were brighter and hid her appearance perfectly. WOW!

I don't mean to sound rude but I believe you are mistaken. I once saw a pic in the wdwmagic photo albums (i think) that shows cindy on the balcony with a coverup of her ball gown on.

And in this photo you can see the cables attached to the coverup that the tech pulls on to remove it (They lead to just below her pits)
