Tell me I'm not the only weirdo. Or tell me I'm weirdo: I can laugh at myself.
We are spending Christmas at WDW 12/22-12/26. I am in the awesome position, as a fan of Ariel, Tiana, Aurora, et al, of having a 5 year old boy who likes princesses as much as he likes pirates, cars or cowboys. So he and I planned a meal at CRT on 12/26, our last full day at MK.
At our 180 days, I reserved the park opening breakfast slot, wanting to do early entry and the almost empty Main Street holiday shots. Then I realized I was giving up prime EMH and rope drop touring time to eat eggs with Ariel awkwardly hovering. So I changed it to 11:30 am and opened up an 8:15 CRT for someone else. Then I read the lunch menu at CRT and thought, "Um..no," and decided dinner would be a great way to wrap our last day, so I changed the reservation to 7:15 p.m.
Then I realized days later that we were also planning to do the Wishes Dessert Party that night, and we'd probably have a conflict if we were seated after our ADR (most likely) and had slow service (probable at holiday time). So I managed to dig up a 9:25 a.m. reservation on 12/26 and booked it as well (yes, I was that jerk-weasel who was holding two CRT ressies on the same day). For about two hours was I that jerk-weasel.
Then I called a super sweet CM and babbled all of my worries to her and she found a 5:25 p.m. reservation by enlarging my party size from 3 to 4 (a helpful tip if you're unaware of it). So now I have one reservation for CRT at 5:25 p.m. the day after Christmas. That took three weeks to hammer down, and I still have 5 months until my trip, haha.
Disney. It makes you do the wacky.
