We have a breakfast reservation at 0900. How early will they let us in to get up to the castle for out reservation? Where is the breakfast entrance line at the gates? Are there cast members along Main Street prior to the opening if my family and I want to get some pictures that would not include large groups of people in it?

Absolutely good advice. There have been several ADRs we have had (Ohana actually comes to mind) where our reservation couldnt be found by the spelling of my last name (starts with a C and on a few instances, had it starting with B or D) and gave them our ressie number

Considering that they start seating at 8:05a...getting in between 8:30-8:40am shouldn't be any problem.

To answer your other questions, there is usually a turnstile with a sign overhead labeled dining reservations. When I have gone it has been toward the right. It will always be well identified, easy to find. There are usually some CMs along the way, but if not and you want a group shot, find a nice looking family and ask the dad to take one for you. I have found other guests at wdw to always be very kind in this way. And whenever I see one family member taking a shot of the rest of the family, I always go offer. Folks usually seem very grateful. So ask someone and then pay it forward
