lol

I thought for the 35th they'd put mickey's rear end up there, after all his arm is already at Epcot and his hat and ears are at MGM.

Haha; those are wonderful...I mean...terrible...I mean...I'm amused. :) "From the creators of the lovely 25th Anniversary Celebration Cinderella Cake comes the 35th Anniversary Cinderella Castle Galactic Takeover!" :hurl:

Even though Cinderella Castle doesn't have a whole lot to do with the Happiest Celebration on Earth, I like the decorations that are up there now. I love the other parks honoring the legacy of 50 years of Disney theme parks, but some of WDW's Happiest Celebration merchandise and TV/online ads seem to make it seem like it's WDW's 50th...which I find sad since it's been a while since Disneyland really got to bask in the glory that it is now. I know WDW is bigger and can hold more tourists, but we don't have to steal Disneyland's well-deserved thunder. If I could change anything about the Cinderella Castle decorations of now, I'd keep the changing stained glass window on Disneyland. (Oh, and let me just say that a lot of guests are REALLY confused because they do realize that in the last decade, we've had a 25th Anniversary Celebration, a 100 Years of Magic Celebration, and now a 50 Years Celebration...peope would routinely come up to me and ask "OK, so how old IS Disney World, really?")

Anyway...the current Castle decor gives me hope that any future Castle decorations might actually be classy-looking. I think it's funny and a bit ironic that Cinderella Castle looks INFINITELY better decorated for Disneyland's 50th than it did for its own 25th. NO MORE PINK BIRTHDAY CAKES, PLEASE!
