Cinderella wedding dress

One of my friends is planning her wedding and she wants to have two wedding dresses, one for the ceremony and one for the reception. She went and tried on the Cinderella wedding dress, and she fell in love. She got the idea to get 2 of the Cinderella wedding dresses, keep one the way it is, and have the other one cut shorter into a coctail dress for the reception. She was trying to find a used dress for the second one since its going to be cut, and she was having no luck finding anything online, so I thought I'd post on here to help her out. If anyone has ideas where she can find a used Cinderella wedding dress that would be a huge help!

I'd say to try local used dress shops. Plenty of places specialize in used once prom/wedding dresses. Or maybe check out theknot, I'd imagine they have something on their site for dress sales/swaps.

Would the bridal shop give her a discount on the in-store dress that has been tried on so many times and may be a little worn?

Could they alter the dress so she could take the bottom half off after the wedding???? What is the difference in spending the money on alterations or buying a second dress????

I think in this case, the OP is talking specifically about the Alfred Angelo "Cinderella" dress for Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings line.
