Cinderella table

We were thinking about going back to Cinderella table for dinner, our problem has been the menu. We have eaten at the castle three times and each time the meal has really gone down. The first time the food was great and then the next times the quality of the food was sub-par. Just wondering if anyone else noticed this.

Breakfast there last year was really very good. Never done dinner though. The decline of food seems to be systemic though throughout the parks. Now that I think about it the only thing that has not changed for the worse has been breakfasts. Crystal Palace has been consistently great for the past eight years for breakfast however on the other hand the CS breakfast at Corornado Springs went from great croissant sandwiches to awful choices with plastic cheese melted over them ...but I digress. I will be interested in watching the thread since we have never eaten dinner at CRT.

I agree the CP has been consistent with breakfast. We been eating at Mama Melrose for the last four years. Even though the portions have decreased from the first time the food continues to be good. Guess this is just the sign of the times.

Did you see the review the little girl wrote about the meal at Cinderella's table. Not good when kids write about service and food.

We ate there two years ago for dinner. It was the fulfillment of a Disney bucket list item for me, and sadly, it was awful. That's when I realized that the very expensive meal is just the background excuse for paying for a princess meet and greet. I'm happy I got to finally go "inside" the castle, but we will never go again. The Princesses were extremely sweet and did a lovely job, but I have no desire to do it again based 100% on the low quality of the food.

The food has been a problem for many years. We did the castle about six years ago and it was great. The next year we took the grand kids and the quality of the food was bad.

I'd like to rebut overall. The last time I ate dinner in the castle (August 2011) the food was very good and the service was outstanding. My wife and I eat there every trip and have never had an issue. We are, in fact, a little bummed that we have to miss it on our next trip.

I honestly don't know where the dislike of the dining in Disney cones from. We have always had high quality food and, with very few exceptions, terrific service. And we've used the Dining Plan almost exclusively our last few trips.

We ate there in 2013 and had a delicious meal. We pretty much went to eat with the Princesses and had expected a so so at best meal. Perhaps it was low expectations, the excitement of our kids (even the grumpy 9 year old boy was a smidgen excited to eat in there) or just being hungry had a great meal.

We've managed to eat there a few times. Experiencing both breakfast and dinners, we found the breakfast was slightly better. Over the past few years the food quality has slipped, but Disney knows the main reason guests keep competing to score the reservation is for the atmosphere and ability to dine in the Castle. BOG will give Castle dining some competition but Cindys Castle will keep being THE prime choice to get ressies for the kids.

The food has never been my favorite and if I were paying (parents lol) it would be hard for me to justify the cost when there are so many better dining options in the same price range.

We have just returned to the UK from WDW:cry:. We managed to get a reservation at Cinderellas Royal Table whilst we were there via checking on the My Disney Experience app on our Kindle, after wks of trying to do so in the 180 day window whilst still in the UK but with no success. We went on Saturday 13th July at 6.30pm for dinner. I must say we were a little apprehensive about going because there was just my DH and myself who are in our early 50's. But there was no need to feel out of place at all and the whole experience we will treasure forever in fact when we return to WDW we would have no hesitation in dining there again. As regards to the food we both found it really nice we had the Crawfish & Shrimp with Grits appetizers, my DH had the Steak & Shrimp and I had the Salmon for our main and finished off with The Clock Strikes 12 desserts we had 2 lemonades each too. We both really enjoyed the 3 courses very much in fact I thought mine was the best meal I had whilst we were on vacation and we ate at quite a few table service restaurants...Be Our Guest, Raglan Road, House of Blues, Nine Dragons to name but a few. I would have no hesitation in recommending Cinderellas Royal Table to anyone but this was the first time we had been so we cant compare it to other visits. We weren't on the DDP so had to pay for the meal which was $148 which included 5 photos taken with a princess with a 1 in a frame, quite reasonably priced we thought for the whole experience of the evening. It cost us the same at Be Our Guest (although we had wine with our meal here) and IMO Cinderella Royal Table was a nicer meal although the ambience in the West Wing at BOG in which we ate was amazing. Its comes down to a matter of choice but if you do decide to return I hope you won't disappointed.:)

We've done all 3 meals at CRT...breakfast was by far the best and dinner, well...dinner was horrible. I will say this though, I love being in the castle and that alone will make me consider a meal at CRT.
