Cinderella Castle light show - photos and lots of details

Its things like this that make me wish that I was a Walt Disney World passholder. The castle looks beautiful! I wish Universal would do a nice decoration on the arch this year but I know they wont. Next year I'll be a WDW passholder! For everyone who is going, have a great time! And Happy Holidays to everyone.

I have not seen either the DL castle show or the WDW castle show in person, only on the internet, but I have to say I like the DL show better, and I like the DL decorations better. DL has the garlands and decorations that can be seen during the day, as well as the lights. And the lights at DL, judging from the show, extend to the buildings surrounding the castle so it looks like a complete scene. The WDW Castle has no "daytime" decorations and the lights dont extend past the castle (they dont even cover the whole castle) so it is not a complete scene, just a decorated castle. I am hoping to get to see DL Castle this year since I moved to Vegas for work and away from WDW... anyone else seen the 2 shows?

Keep in mind it's a lot easier to hang a few wreaths on Disneyland's castle and make it look like a full decor. Our Castle is 4x as big as theirs.

Excuses? Nope...but thinking logic. Plus with the strict installation timeline of the lighting piece, it would have been pushing it for anything more...not to mention no one wants anything to block all of the lights.

Thats an excellent point you got there. I would much rather be able to see the lights. :xmas:
