My family and i are new to the whole disney experience. This Sept will be our 3rd trip to disney since having our kids. So I am wondering I have a 6 year old who loves Disney princess's . I have heard that the castle character dinner is not what it is cracked up to be. Last year when we went to disney we had the character dinner at 1900 Park Fare. Which alot of characters were at. Ok so now on to my question. Do you think that the Castle dinner is worth the money verse 1900 Park Fare. I really want her to get to see Cinderella close up and the prince and all the others. HELP.. Thanks :D

dining

No characters at dinner at the castle. Breakfast and lunch only. We did breakfst there and at Akershus in Epcot the little ones were thrilled by both, though Cinderella was ill and we did not get picture with her in the castle.

I would go either to breakfast or lunch at the Castle, I prefer breakfast, since Cinderella is guaranteed to be there since it is her place. The food in Norway for dinner for the adults is Norweigan fare, lots of fish stuff and I also felt that the service when we had breakfast there wasn't all that great. Here is the website you can check the menu's out http://www.allearsnet.com/din/dining.htm

Another good place to see Cindy at dinner is at 1900 Park Fare (in the Grand Floridian). I've never eaten there at dinner, but I hear she's there!

I was gonna say - I thought that all meals at the castle were now character meals - I guess I wasn't going crazy after all!:p
aah, but read carefully. You meet Cinderella before going upstairs to eat. While dining, no characters come to your table for photos and autographs, although you do see the Fairy Godmother and the Cinderella mice. So if you want to get photos and autographs from an assortment of princesses, don't go to the castle for supper.

Not sure if you are talking about lunch or dinner, but if its any help, we had lunch in CRT last Oct, and we met Cinderella and the FG downstairs, and then while we were eating Mary Poppins, Snow White, Belle and Aurora were making the rounds and talking to everyone. Someone mentioned they wanted to see the prince - he wasn't there.
