I am not sure if this is old news to anyone, but...i was watching Lady and the Tramp 2 and on one of the coming attractions i noticed they are making a Cinderella 3....its supposed to be a "what if" type of movie, what if cinderella never met the prince, etc.
it didn't say when it was coming out just coming soon on disney dvd...
did anyone hear anything about this???

I am curious to see how it would be, i didn't think i would like part 2 but it grows on you :animwink:

Ugh, Disney needs to STOP making sequils (sp?) They've all been horrible IMHO

I agree that some of the follow up sequels have been less than great. I love Toy Story 2, Little Mermaid II they were great.

IMHO, the sequels (:p) are getting better. I enjoyed Leroy and Stitch when they premiered it on the Disney Channel. I love Lion King 1 and 1/2, and so forth. This particular sequel looks good just from the plot, so I can't wait to see it.

Can't please everyone *shrugs*

The evil stepmother conjures up a spell that reverses all of which the fairy godmother did. Everything that she had made (the dress, the horses and the carriage) which were the reasons why and how Cinderella went to "The Ball".

I didn't like the way that Cinderella 2 was setup...not a big fan of multiple small stories, but in some of the stories the animation was amazing. Unfortunately those shorts were animated in Austrailia and that studio was closed two years ago (or so).

I didn't enjoy the multiple small stories either. It was like watching a 30 minute cartoon instead of a movie, which just doesn't thrill me particularly.

However, I did really enjoy Mulan 2. I felt it was pretty good for a sequel.:D:D:D

I'd like to see Mulan 2. It says something to me if I finish watching a movie (just watched Mulan for the first time a week or so ago) and I WANT to watch the sequel immediately if there is one. Little Mermaid 2 was ok. Cute. I love LK 1 1/2. I really enjoyed Lilo & Stitch 2 and I want to see Mulan 2.

I do think they're taking care to put more effort into SOME of the sequels and that's cool. It's just the stories that don't NEED sequels (Cinderella, Lady & the Tramp, etc) they need to stop making. Like the quote I saw in someone's siggy here awhile back "Isn't happily ever after enough?"

It is not mentioned on the Disney web site either under upcoming movies or DVD's, so my guess would be after this year. The website even shows the release dates for Christmas movies and Ratatouille.
