Christmas Time

So my friend and I are going to Disney in November for Christmas and we had 2 full days to go explore the hotels in Disney for Christmas. A few days ago we were able to get a great deal to add on another park day so now we only have 1 day to explore the hotels. What hotels are a must see at disney during the holidays so we can plan accordingly!

Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge, at least. Two of the largest trees on property. Coronado Springs also has a nice tree in the lobby. Grand Floridian for the Gingerbread House and tree. Since you're going in November, not everything may be up, though.

What are your dates? As @JohnD said the resorts don't begin decorating until a few days before Thanksgiving.

Beach Club has a chocolate carousel with Disney characters and Yacht Club has a train set. Boardwalk has a gingerbread creation (it changes every year.) You could round out your Epcot-area resort tour with stops at the Swan and Dolphin which also have delightful decorations.

You could do a monorail loop(Poly/Grand Floridian/Contemporary) + bus or boat to the Wilderness Lodge, and then do a loop of the Epcot area resorts (Yacht Club/Beach Club/Boardwalk/Swan/Dolphin) and then go to Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Since parks are hubs for bus stops you could monorail to Epcot, walk to the Epcot bus stops, then take a bus to one of the Epcot resorts then walk/boat to all the area resorts. As for Animal Kingdom Lodge, I'd check it out on your AK day, maybe as you leave AK for the day. Take a bus directly to AKL from AK.

As far as touring the resorts...

• MK Loop: Transportation Center -> (Monorail or just walk to) Polynesian -> (Monorail or just walk to) Grand Floridian -> Monorail to Magic Kingdom -> Boat to Fort Wilderness & Resort -> Boat to Contemporary -> Monorail to Transportation Center.
• Crescent Lake Loop: The route listed here is what the Ferry takes, but once you get to one hotel, you just walk and hop to the resorts as you walk around the lake... Epcot International Gate - > Boardwalk Inn (and Boardwalk itself) -> Beach & Yacht -> Swan & Dolphin -> Studios -> reverse route. (You can also walk from Swolphin to Fantasia Miniature Golf to play or check it out). You can get to this loop by busing to Hollywood Studios.
• Animal Kingdom Lodge: Bus from any Park or Disney Springs.
• Disney Springs loop: Ferry or walk from Disney Springs to Saratoga Springs and back, then Old Key West and back. Ferry to Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter (walk between these two).
• Bus to Caribbean Beach
• Bus to Coronado Springs and the All Stars (Sports > Music > Movies). Now, you could walk between Coronado and All Stars (with Summerland Miniature Golf and Blizzard Beach Water Park in between)... but it's a hike; or bus to them individually.

Note that if you have a hopper or annual pass, you connect the Crescent Lake Loop with the Monorail Loop by walking through Epcot and using its front and back gates and using the MK <-> Epcot Monorail. It's probably not shorter, but, it avoids a bus ride.
