Christmas Time

Just got back from our annual trip in August. We decided to surprise our DD (6 years old) with a rare second trip in early December to see Christmas. We have never done Christmas time in Disney. The trip is going to be a short four day trip. We already have secured a reservation for priority seating one night at the Candlelight Processional and tickets one night to the MVMCP. My DD is into all things Christmas to the point that the other day she was asking to watch Christmas movies. Is there any suggestions for things to see and do in Disney at x-mas other than what I listed above. As we are flying in and taking the ME we are not renting a car so things like seeing it snow in Celebration probably will not fit into our schedule. Any suggestions are appreciated.

There are many things to do including visiting the resorts to see their decorations, but if she is very much into Christmas then a trip to Epcot to hear the different countries Christmas traditions/santas/etc. is a must do.

They do a giant gingerbread house in the lobby of the Grand Floridian which is worth checking out. The Swan and Dolphin also do some Christmas activities (http://santasfavoriteresort.com/), although I have never experienced them myself.

What a nice surprise for your daughter! You all will have a great time during the holiday celebrations. I recently purchased Mickey's Christmas Tree Surprise (http://disneyworld.disneyfloralandg...tmas-tree-surprise.do?sortby=ourPicks&from=fn) from Disney Floral & Gifts to be delivered to our room after Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. I am interested to see what other recommendations people have to share. I hear the Grand Floridian is a must-see during the holidays.

Thank you. The Christmas traditions are most definitely apart of our plans. Given we just went in August and are going back in August, attractions are not a priority for this trip.

Looks awesome that should be a great surprise. Not sure I would be able to get all that packed for the flight back.

SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! CHRISTMAS TIME IS THE BEST TIME OF YEAR TO GO!!! My family only goes at Christmas! While attractions are not a MUST, I am so glad you're doing MVMCP!! That castle at night will astound her and she'll be so excited!! Definitely take her to see the Gingerbread houses at the GF and Contemporary. A big Christmas treat! I agree with @DisDadWoz about checking out all the different EPCOT countries for their Holiday decorations! We went the first week in DEC last year and were very blessed with shortened lines and low crowds, not to mention all the wonderful Holiday decorations! Have fun!
