Christmas Time Questions

I was not too sure where to put these questions, but these are just the general ones we have been thinking about before our trip. We will be going in November :))) and we have tickets for one night of the Christmas party, but during the other nights,do they just put on the normal Wishes Fireworks, and do they also continue doing the regular parade during the day? Also, are most of the decorations up by like November 14-20, it seems like we will be able to watch some of the transformations happen while there. Do they have Kiss Goodnight on Party nights, or should we go another night to see it? Lastly, which morning openings would you suggest we go to? We didn't really want to go to all of them, but we were thinking Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios, would we really be missing much from the other two opening ceremonies? Thank you so much :):):)

On non-party evenings, the regular Wishes runs.

Most if not all holiday decorations should be up by the time you arrive on the 14th. The changeover starts just after the Halloween parties end at MK.

The only park with a morning opening show is MK. The other parks no longer have any opening show, just an announcement and countdown and the gate (and at Animal Kingdom, a second countdown in front of the Tree of Life).

On our last trip, we went to the Christmas party and then on our final night in town we watched the special Holiday wishes again from the beach at the Poly (after we spent the day at HS). They pipe the music through the speakers on the beach and it was really awesome to see it from that different perspective!

We tried to stick around for the Kiss Goodnight on the night of the party- but like a lot of people have said in a different thread, nothing was happening and I asked at the Guest Relations and they had NO clue what I was talking about... :(

And I agree with everyone else- the Magic Kingdom opening is a must-see!

It seems like a lot of people have trouble seeing the kiss goodnight, We're gonna try the party night, and then if not ( I hear they don't typically do it then) we will stop in another night and wait it out.

Honestly, it's pretty easy to miss. It's more subtle than I think people expect. A small announcement, a little music and a little bit of light effect. If you're in a shop or something passing time, you can completely not know it happened. There's a video here if you're curious:

Christmas Wishes is only shown on party nights and they show Wishes on the other nights until after the last Christmas Party. The daytime parade is the same parade every day until after the the parties are over. After the last Christmas Party in December they start to do Christmas Wishes every night until the end of the year and they will run the Christmas Parade during the day also at that time. People who come in November and early December and want to see the Christmas Parade and Christmas Wishes have to go on one of the Party nights. If you go during the last two weeks of the year, which are the busiest weeks of the year, than you are able to see them without going to a party since the parties are over with.

They do not do the Kiss Goodnight on party nights.

A lot of the decorations are up in November, but Epcot won't have their storytellers until after Thanksgiving. Not all of the hotels will have their decorations up by your dates.

The MK morning show is fantastic! It is a must see for me.
