I just purchased tickets to the mvmcp on Dec. 2,
but i also found a web site after my purchase
which everyone is so negitive about the park.

Is it true that it is so crowded you cant
walk? I cant believe that it would seem more
crowded than the summer?

does anyone have any input that is positive.

thanks

First off... its a bit crowded on Main Street... but nowhere near summer or average daily levels. I actually had a very positive experience during my christmas party. I must say the best part was riding Space Mountain several times without a wait. Everybody was going to Splash Mountain, but I say to hell with that... I'm fine in Tomorrowland (I only wish the TTA was operating during the party :( ).

Bottom Line - The only thing that could possibly be negative was the slightly large crowd on Main Street. Other than that, the park was empty and I had a great time. I'm sure you will too!! :)

I agree completely. I also rode Space Mountain several times and was first in line when it opened. It was weird seeing that place with no one in line. WDW-Imangineer is right about Mainstreet being crowded esp around parade time, but the rest of the park is great. It is well worth the time and extra money.

Yes... I forgot about the parade. What we did was we sat in the center courtyard facing the left tunnel under the train station. Once the parade is over, you just run to the tunnel and you are out of there and first on line for your bus. Although I would suggest if you had a car to park at the contemporary. You can take the monorail to MK and simply walk back and beat the crowds of the monorail & buses.

We're staying off site and will be driving into WDW - does that mean we can escape parking charges by parking at the hotels and using the monorail / buses?? All these $6 a day soon add up

No the Disney Resort parking lots are for Disney On-Site guests only. This is one of the reasons that the onsite resorts cost a little more than offsite - you pay for these convenient features. :)

You may be asked for resort ID at the security check points. So it is risky to try it. Especially now with the increased security levels at WDW.

Neil, when we stayed in the Contemp in August we saw a car being towed away, the guy on the gate said it was because parking of non-resort geusts was becoming a problem. If you are eatinh at the hotel or visiting they give you a pass for three hours to display in your window if your still there after that you get the hoist!

We wouldn't take the risk to be honest with you and besides we're paying enough for this holiday so I'm sure $6 to park the car ain't gonna hurt!!
