Christmas or Food & Wine

I have the choice to go to Walt Disney World either during the Food and Wine Festival or just after the Christmas season starts throughout the resort. But I'm having trouble deciding. For anyone who has been to WDW during both, which would you choose?

The Gingerbread House at Grand Floridian, the different Christmas trees at each park and resort, the decorations... the crowds! LOL.:) Christmas is lovely and special. Food and Wine is for folks who really like to sample the different food offerings from different countries ( I personally like the Flower and Garden Festival best). I guess my vote would be Christmas.

I'd choose Christmas as well.

We did both the MNSSHP/Food&Wine events and the MVMCP event. Honestly, we had more fun with the Halloween party than the Christmas party, but we weren't too impressed with the Food&Wine event due to the massive crowds (which seemed to have increased its drinking level, too).

We went in late October a few years ago. We thought F&W would be fun. We were wrong. Epcot was always super crowded, and in the evenings, it was far from kid friendly while we were there. Lots of drinking, some instances of questionable language (and behavior), and at least 2 people yakking their guts up into the bushes. That's not our crowd anymore, so we were really disappointed.

We love going at Christmas time. Sad that Osborne Family Lights are gone, but still excited to see the park expansion when it's done!

I say Christmas over F&W. I went once to F&W before it got full blown jam packed and it was great. But I still love Disney and Christmas, which I get to see when we go at Thanksgiving because we never actually go at Christmas.

We love both times of year. If you go beginning of November you might be able to get the best of both worlds.... Pretty sure Christmas décor starts going up the beginning of the first week on Nov.

I go every year for the F&WF. I am a foodie and do a bunch of the seminars. It does get busy in the evenings and very busy on the weekends when the locals all pop in. I have seen crowds and people who are loud and having fun. In the last 5 years that I have gone(and I have to say that I spend 90% of my time in world showcase) I have never seen anyone puke in the bushes or be belligerent. I would not take my kids at that time just because it is so crowded and hard to get through the crowds. If you like going to food seminars and Halloween/ fall decorations then go then. If you really want to see Christmas stuff then go then. The weather is very nice in October.

Think it depends on what you like more.

I've been to the F&W twice already and am going a third time. I've always been on weekdays so I never thought the crowds were that bad. If you're a foodie, it's a must do! I've wanted to go for Christmas, but I always read it's busy, so I stick with October!
