O.K. people, I know we're crazy but we are planing to go to to the World next Christmas. We heve been 5 times in the last 5 years and now we want to experience Disney at Christmas. ( In all it's insane glory ) So now that you know my state of mind what can you tell me about what goes on at the varrious moderate resorts? We will arrive on the 25th and go home on the 2nd. Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.

Well, I can't tell you about the resorts, but we were there this past year from 12/26 through 12/31 and although the parks were indeed crowded, we were amazed at how great it was. Disney sure knows how to manage crowd control, and there were so many things going on that even if we hadn't managed to go on any rides (which isn't true, we went on everything we wanted to, including Buzz 4 times) we would never have been bored.

My only suggestion would be to get to the parks right at opening, because all the fast passes run out by mid-day, but in the morning we walked right on a few things.

I can't comment on the moderate resort question, but I think it's great that you're doing Christmas. Our 3 trips to WDW have been in the summer, Spring Break and Christmas. We fell in love with WDW at Christmas. My family enjoys the weather in Dec./Jan. (no snow, but not hot) and WDW is so vibrant and beautifully decorated. We are planning on going every year at that time for 10-12 days. You'll love it...just get up early each day you're there and go to the parks. By doing that and using FastPasses, you'll be able to do lots despite the crowds.
