Hey everyone, I have a trip booked Dec 21 thru the 28, and my family and I were looking to do some neat holiday stuff offered during that time. I am aware of MVMCP, and Osborne, as well as Epcot Candlelight processional....But I need advice on the candlelight, I hear it is a must SEE and we want to book the dinner package.....Does anyone have any suggestions on where the best place to eat is, and does anyone know when the availability to book this will most likely open.?? We heard from a disney rep that it books very fast and that we need to check at least bi weekly...please help with some much needed advice! Thanks Everyone

Well I never been to WDW durning the Christmas season.. But I can asure you that Every where to eat will be booked up.. my suggestion would be to book at every resturant you want to eat at and then pick from there... as far as the CLP i would say get tickets or seats for that ASAP it does fill up very very fast...

I wonder whos going to be guest speeking this year? Do you know?

sorry for the double post, but also if anyone has any insight into the additional costs that will be present. Is the show viewable by all with regular passes (we will all have AP) or is it, a special ticket...are dinner prices inflated?? Thanks again!

We have done the CP dinner package twice. Once eating at the Marakesh in Moroco and once at the Rose and Crown in England. We thought the prices were fair - I think $39. per person. I would not try to see the CP without the package - seating is limited and after the package people are seated there are little to no seats left. We really enjoy this show and would do it again if were were at the World during the Christmas Season. Thing not to miss - visiting all the different countries and enjoying the stories told by their "santas" the lighted arch in Epcot that changes colors with the music that is playing - visiting different resorts to see the decorations - just walking down Main St. at Christmas time is special to us. It's a great time to go!:xmas:

Both times we went to CP we booked dinner at Le Cellier, which is our favorite Epcot restaurant. We also considered Rose and Crown and Chefs de France. We thought we should choose a country which actually celebrates Christmas, thinking the decorations would be better. Definitely take time to visit the storytellers at each country and hear their presentations on holiday traditions. Our favorites are La Befana in Italy and the elf-like character at Norway.

For a fun extra outside the parks, visit the mini-golf course at Blizzard Beach. It is themed around Santa and the elves. It has 2 courses. One side is all "snow" with Christmas tunes playing, and the other side is themed to the elves and Santa on vacation at the beach, with the Beach Boys playing in the background.

The Candlelight Processional is a must if you are there when it is performed. The restaurant for the dinner package is your choice. One note- If the weather turns rainy or very cold, The Rose and Crown loses a lot of its seating capacity because of the outdoors areas. That causes their seatings to be delayed. Enjoy the inspirational show.

I agree. We did it in 2003 and had the package with Japan. We'll be doing it again this year. They had different tiers for different restaurants, so the price you pay may vary on where you'd like to eat. Back then it wasn't all that hard to book (depending on what date you choose), but with the new dining plan, it may be tougher. If you book, I imagine it will be much easier if you try to see it before the 24th. We were there from the 21st to the 24th and it really starts getting crowded on Christmas Eve and will stay that way through New Year's.
