We are planning a trip for Nov 16-19. Will the hotels have Christmas stuff up? I am pretty sure the parks will because MVMCP starts on 11-13.

Christmas Decorations

Most resprts will be "in the process" of being decorated, with a few probally done already.
While we're on the Subject, anyone know when the decoration on the cruise go up?

It seems to get earlier and earlier each year. My bet would be that later this week they will start. Halloween comes down, Christmas goes up. It used to be the day after Thanksgiving, but no longer.

But where is the tree going, I thought there was some confusion on that, because Regis & Kelly are hosting the parade from town square, and they didn't want it in the rose garden again.

November 1st?! Geez. I was at my local mall yesterday and I was walking past Hollister and they already have Christmas decorations at the entrance and I was like, my gosh how can they go past Halloween?! I guess eventually the whole year will be Christmas!!

No they are going up starting Nov 1st, according to the Operational information memo posted around the Magic Kingdom, decor on main street such as the garland and wreahs should all be up by Friday, the tree will also be up and placed in the rose garden again until after the taping of the parade. Which then it will be moved back to town square. So it looks like two months of Christmas this year

For What? I'm assuming not WDW. Although, disneyworld.com has the Christmas party on the MK site now.

I have been during the week of Halloween, and the day after they were taking down Halloween and putting up Christmas.

By Mid november the HOtels start to get decorated...
They started to do the decorations the day after Halloween because as they told us on the Yuletide fantasy tour last year, they have all the parks, hotels, DTD, etc plus the cruise ships to do... It's quite an operation.

We were there from 10/31-11/7 in 2004, and yes, they started putting up the decorations in the parks the day after Halloween. I'm not sure about the timing of the hotels though. We were at CBR and I don't recall seeing any Christmas decor before we left. They did, however, have Christmas merchandise in the resort gift shop.
