Christmas decoarations and the first week of January

We are are thinking of going to WDW the first week of January (1/1-1/5). Are the Christmas decorations still up during this week and what kind of crowds should we expect? Thanks in advance for your input.

I would imagine that they would still be up. We went last year Jan 8-18 and animal kingdom still had x-mas decorations up! It was fairly busy. Moreso than we had expected, but I'm sure less busy than it is during busy times.

I would think they would be. Good idea to see it then!

I'm going on that week. I been able to confim that the Osborne lights will still be up that week, but they couldn't confirm the other decorations.

I'm thinking it might not be too bad that week, crowd wise. With NYD being a Tuesday, I don't think many folks will be making a long week after the holiday, and since they pushed the marathon back a week, you hopefully won't run into the marathon crowds.
