Christmas Day

Yes, it is. Magic Kingdom will have Phase Closings due to crowd levels. Other parks, not quite so much, but it is possible. You will be waiting in long lines. Christmas Day is usually the beginning of the busiest week of the year. Busiest day is always New Years Eve.

Plan on it being very crowded and long lines for everything, but not as bad as New Years Eve. Last time we went after Christmas in 2006 I remember Soarin being 180 min.
But who would pass up Christmas at Disney World? Have fun!

We were in the Magic Kingdom on New Years Eve this past year and the crowds were not bad at all. There was a phase closing but we still rode 90% of the rides in the park. The lines were not bad either.

I was in the World 4 years ago for Christmas. We spent the morning in AK, and the afternoon and evening was split between the studios and MK. While the crowds are definitely higher, I didn't find things to be terrible that day (the afternoon downpour might have helped a little too). To me the crowds started to get really bad in the days following Christmas. By the 27th, the parks were mobbed to the point of closing and people were being diverted from the studios to park in the Epcot lot and bus over.

Are you talking about THE Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World? If so, I am going to just advise others that IF this is true, most people typically don't agree.

The statement "The lines were not bad either." is only true if you are comparing the lines to lets say the lines to audition for American Idol (not the attraction). Lines are 3 and 4 times as long as they are on an average day. There will be a phase closing on New Year's Eve and getting in 90% of the attractions is close to impossible, but I'll take your word for it if you did in fact do it.

The crowds are bad. Period.

We were at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios on Christmas Day last year and I personally didn't find it bad at all. I was expecting massive amounts of people, but was pleasantly surprised that the numbers seemed no different than any of the other days we had been there on that particular trip.

It may have helped that the weather was not all that great. It was raining when we arrived at Magic Kingdom early in th emorning for Extra Magic Hours. I assume the rain played a factor in lower crowd numbers but we were able to rip through pretty much every attraction in MK beofre noon with little wait times.

Hollywood Studios was a little busy in the afternoon but nothing crazy.

All in all, I would definitely head back on Christmas Day. Great spirit throughout the parks. People seemed friendlier (for the most part) during the day as well, again, from what I could gather.
