Someone told me that when it is Christmas at WDW they only let a certain number of people into the Theme Parks. Now i dont know if thats true or not? Can anyone tell me?

When the parks reach capacity on Christmas they will not allow anyone else to come in. We were there Christmas Day and the line for MK was so long and they had 5 buses in a row come to pick up at Pop (where we were staying) and this was at like 8am. We went to MGM instead, line wasn't as long and the park was busy but not nearly as bad as MK was that morning. Plus it rained that day.

Personally, I would recommend anyone to avoid the parks on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The parks will be slammed and completely unenjoyable. I always recommend making ADRs for a nice restaurant at a resort.

I agree....if you happen to be visiting and your stay includes a holiday, you are better off staying at the resort and enjoying the pool or other activities. Shoulder to shoulder down mainstreet and 3 hour waits for major attractions is not what I call "Merry" :ROFLOL:

'Christmas at Walt Disney World' is more than just Christmas Day itself, December 25.
All the Christmas decorations and the Christmas features and special festivities begin right after the US Thanksgiving holiday, which is the last Thursday in November.

That is why we avoided MK until later in the day. SO many people around the resorts when we got back from MGM were saying how it was crowded and with the rain, they had no place to do for coverage and also how the didn't see the parade (which we all know is the taped the first week in December) Going to MGM was perfect as it was not crowded and no waits for rides.

Were you able to get in later in the day? For some reason I have horrible pictures of what Christmas Eve will be like in my head. I would love to hit MK that day, but is it worth it?

And yes, I am crazy enough to wake at 6 AM and be at the bus stop at 6:30. Pretty sure my mom is too, not too much for dad. LOL!

I love Christmas at disney! Not sure about only allowing a certain amount of people in the parks, but I would think Christmas eve and day are jammed! It wouldn't surprise me if they had to turn people away because of the parks being at capacity. Staying in the resorts and eating a nice meal at a nice restaurant sounds good, then maybe later in the day venturing out to the parks. Though I would think it would be hard to not go to the parks first thing in the morning, it depends on how adventerous and patient you are! I forgot they filmed the parade the first week in December, I wonder if I wll get to see it filmed, since I will be there!:xmas:

wouldnt it make more sense to go to the park in the am, and then head backk to the hotel?
