Deadline is reporting that Disney has it's eye on the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star to take over the part of Indiana Jones.

I could see it. He's played a lot of roles similar to those Harrison Ford did in his Indy days.....has that cocky and smart but still endearing role down.

That being said, I'm a movie crumdgeon whose heart breaks that anyone would feel the need to reboot one of my favorite characters/movies.

Since there is no real news yet - my hope is instead of a reboot maybe Pratt could play Indy's son. They could just recast the role from the last movie.

Good point! My indignation meter about reboots goes off so easily!

I personally would be ecstatic if they recast Indy's son. Shia LeBoef (or however you spell it) didn't really capture my interest. Not that a lot of the fourth movie was amazing to me....but he was the weakest of it all IMO.

I like the Indiana Jones character and I wouldn't mind an attempt to make it a serial character like James Bond, Batman, etc. If this happens, we're going to need a new Indy at some point. I hope it happens and I hope it works.

I equate Harrison Ford with Indiana Jones. Sorry, but please don't make another unless Ford is the lead.

Yep. I don't think "Indiana Jones and the Quest for the Fresh Depends" would do all that well.

This is what I would like to see as well. I don't want to see someone else play Indiana, Pratt as his son would be great and have Ford have the same type of roll as Connery had in the 3rd movie.
