Okay bear with me and see if this makes sense...Every year in the past we have eaten breakfast at the resort, something quick and easy and head out the parks..using our DDP on lunch and dinner...But I am seeing soo many people that do character breakfasts and am wondering if we are missing out..I know to each person it's matter of opinion, but I was just trying to see if it's worth the extra expense..by that I mean we would eventually have to pay out of pocket for additional food..also i don't want to feel like we are "wasting time" bcuz we should be out in the parks "doing" not eating and watching characters, but then we are there for the kids and the experiences which INCLUDE character experiences...I know no one can make my mind up for me..just trying to see if saying it all out loud will help me make a decision...of course any input would be appreciated....thanks :drevil::drevil::drevil:

My kids LOVED breakfast at Chef Mickey's. That was my DD's one request for a meal when we go again. The character interaction was great, Pluto even sat down next to my son at my seat while I was at the buffet. The food was decent, it was a bit pricey, but we enjoyed it.

We are going to Donald's Breakfast Safari at Tusker House this trip, but I wouldn't be surprised if we end up at Chef Mickey's again some time in the future.

My kids are now 12 and 15, but still love the character breakfasts. We always book both Crystal Palace and Tusker House. We always choose reservations around 8am so we can enter the parks before they open. Crystal Palace allows you to walk down main street while it is empty. Great opportunity to take your time and capture unobstructed photos of the castle. Tusker House is right by the entrance to the Safari, so when we finish breakfast we are usually one of the first families on the Safari. Hope this helps.

Oh my goodness, character breakfasts are a must for our family. We usually throw 3 or 4 into our itinerary. The kids absolutely love them and we always have some of our best character interactions at our meals.

We almost always book Tusker House on our AK day. Ohana and Chef Mickey's are a couple other favorites. Ohana is nice because it's served family style, a break from the buffet lines.

You guys should definitely check one out next trip!!

Us, too

We also schedule character breakfasts each and every trip. Our personal favorite is the Winnie the Pooh and Friends buffet in Magic Kingdom. :sohappy: We also schedule the breakfast earlier than park opening so we enter the park as soon as it opens. That way, we don't miss any time in the park.

A word of caution: check the menu selection. Our Disney Princess breakfast inside Cinderella's Castle was ruined because the kids didn't like anything that was served (although eating inside the castle was so cool!). We've found the buffets to be the best for all of us, and I can stuff myself with Mickey Waffles:slurp:.
