I have strated afew vehicle sketches for each mode, so you guys can pick the ones you like best. From normal to fanciful...

Now, I kinda get what Trevor was saying...that there should be one major system connecting everything...

So would that be the Maglev...or would that be the ferries and canals?


I'm a little confused. But then I blame this flu...

I was also wondering...with a canal system...what about the Maglev system and boats using the same waterways? Is that even possible? could you essentially use the same routes for different modes? Forgive me if it's a dumb question, as I am fuzzier than normal...

it would be both, we would have two major systems connecting everything. Although we should concentrate our focus on the Maglev as the existence of that system pretty much renders the canals and boats unrequired (it'll only work if we have a lot of resorts and other destinations along the canals)

and if we are going with both, I don't think the maglev and ferries should follow the same route.

These are just ideas of course! I like designing stuff...but I am really not an engineer...which is a bit of a detriment.

You don't have to use any of these...but let me know if you like any of them, and I'll see if I can make a better sketch.

and I did a trolley drawing too, which i didn't know if I should upload or not. it's just a plain ol red trolley. I didn't do a bus drawing...but if you want I still can!

I love all of these! Futuristic and cool.

The maglev looks great. Really good work there.

I LOVE THAT DRAGONBOAT. I think we should definitely use that (the Steamboat is too similar to the Liberty Belle).

:lol: The mouse movers. Cheesy (no pun intended), yet still awesome.

Aw man...dude that sucks! I would be competely lost without my scanner!

It won't look as pretty as yours, Stitchcastle...but I can surely do something like it!

Would the area in the middle be the central hub we were talking about originally?

and what about connecting this to all the other properties (other resorts and waterparks...etc)?

Wasn't that the original idea?

I guess it's my own fault for being sick most of the week, and coming back into this so late...but I am not sure what the heck our project is here...

From what I can see...we just replaced the Monorail with...a maglev system that looks just like...and goes to the same places... as the monorail???

How did we just create anything new here?
It doesn't connect everything...like what the original contest post stated was our goal...

maybe I'm just not seeing it... forgive a silly girl if that is the case...but right now...I'm not sure we did anything new or original?

I envisioned this as a retrofitting of the current monorail track, then adding a lot. Chrony, I think the reason you're confused is because it hasn't really been explained. Here's my explanation:

-The Main Station has multiple tracks leading to each of the five areas (to return to the stations, the maglev trains would travel backwards. So, it really doesn't do a full circuit, like the current monorails.

-Also, the Main Station would be located in the very front of the property with a monstrous parking lot in front of it.

-The individual maglev train lines would make full fledged stops at MAJOR areas, such as parks and shopping districts, as well as larger hotels. Everything else would have to be accessed by that line's unique transportation system (i.e. trolleys, etc.) to smaller areas such as golf courses, moderate resorts, etc.

So, it DOES connect everything, what stitch drew was from his huge WDW improvement thread, and he used that monorail system drawing to connect the parks only. Our system techinally connects to EVERYTHING. Even the mini-golf courses. Even if it isn't connected by the huge maglev train, it is still connected by an offshoot transportation device of that line.
