the back and forth like arm swing dance is hands down the funniest move of all time...
Is that how you dance?

Especially when it's my goofy DF  Oh gosh. *prays the word of the bird doesn't get out at our reception* :dazzle:
Do you have any songs that are "must-plays" other than the first dance and father/daughter, etc.?

Whic father/daughter song did you end up with by the way?

Yeeeeup. A whole list of them, as well as 'do not plays'.

Must plays - Anything Bon Jovi, Runaround Sue, White Wedding, September, When I'm 64, Night Fever, You Can Call Me Al, Black Betty, Milkshake, My Kind of Town :king:

Do not plays - Anything Celine Dion, Ricky Martin, or Michael Bolton, We Are Family, Celebration, Macarena, Locomotion, I Will Survive, Love Shack, The Dance, Baby Got Back, Who Let the Dogs Out

And we decided on the Cinderella song for my Dad & I's dance. It's the one he wanted, so... :o
After the 1st verse of it, we're going to invite any other "daddy's & daughters" to join us on the dance floor which I think will be really neat.

THAT was a good episode. Beats the hamburger one.

So... since I'm new coming back tot his show... do we like Stella? Do we think she's the "mother?"
I personally don't think she is...there were some clues last season that don't point to her being the mother (IE the yellow umbrella) however, there were also some clues that point to her being the mother...but personally, I don't think she is.

I LOVE that idea! :sohappy:

We had more songs on our "do not play" list than we did on our "must play list." Some of our "musts:" Magic Carpet Ride, Brown Eyed Girl, (both fraternity-/sorority-related) Dixieland Delight, Save a Horse Ride a cowboy, ... random, I know...
... and, I have to admit, Baby Got Back was a must play...:lookaroun

It's good for my Dad too...he was a little nervous about being the center of attention on the dance floor. He's a bit shy :)

And I won't hold the Baby Got Back against you. Believe me I love the song....I just tend to forget I'm a lady when I hear it and....well with the big gown and grandparents being there and all. :lookaroun:o:king:
What happened to the cupcake girl? I liked her.
Ooooo I liked her too!

See my theory on the whole dancing thing...and don't take this the wrong way b/c I definitely don't want you to...

but a DJ's purpose at a wedding is to get people to get on the floor and dance...and so my theory is, he's gonna know, after all these years, which songs make people get up and dance. So, if Celebration is gonna get them to dance (and it usually does) then I say play it. Of course, you may totally detest the song 150%, so if that's the case...then definitely don't have it played.

I've seen it when people are so strict with their playlists or when they pick songs that no one else really likes to get up and dance to and the floor is DEAD as a doornail. It's so awkward b/c the DJ doesn't know whether to keep the song playing or to kill it. Especially if the couple (or someone else) asked for it.

That's why, I prefer it when DJs aren't limited and they can play what they know will get people on the floor. My own personal stipulations though...no Duck Dance or Hokey Pokey...absolutely the worst things you can play at a wedding. (Hope they aren't playing those at yours Steph! :lookaroun )

Once again...not trying to offend you in anyway...just know what I've seen in person for many, many years. :o
