Well, it's been an interesting morning here....
I and my co-chair had a book fair workshop we were attending this morning - got to the location and found out it had been cancelled. :fork:
No notification at all. She had shifted her time at work in order to come with me (which wasn't a big deal to her, but still she went to that trouble), so we ended up just going out to breakfast/brunch at Bob Evans and talking.
Needless to say, I put a call into Scholastic when I got home and just received a very, very, very apologetic phone call back. Apparently someone from another office was supposed to call and e-mail me prior to this and it didn't happen. They were extremely delayed in getting me my planning kit for the book fair also. I told her to be perfectly frank I am having doubts about them delivering the fair when they say they will, which she completely agreed with me. She admitted they dropped the ball.
Sigh....WHY does this kind of thing have to happen when I take over something? Our laminating company is trying to stiff us also on cost, and I took that over this year. I feel JINXED. :brick:
